Thanks for posting this Pic, Scaples. I tried last night and failed, sadly. I still stand by the observations that the above is likely the closet 'true to life' depiction of Tali.

Will Bioware show us something different in ME3? Possibly.
However, based on all the little snipets of information we have recieved discribing Quarian, from Ascension to the wiki to interviews with the Devs, the Above Picture by Cyrus really seems to be the most accurate portrayal. I know some will diagree, but if so I can not help but feel they are doing so because it does not match thier own personel interpretation as opposed to the facts we have. Great picture. Bottom line.

The fact that its a human face with a different color?  Don't get me wrong, I think that's close to what she'll end up looking like, but a lot of people seem hung up on the whole looking "alien" thing.

Its too human looking if you ask me.  She`s supposed to be an alien, if she turns out to be looking identical to a normal human only with purplish skin and chiken feet I will be realy dissapointed.

Besides, my favorite look for her so far is the nightcrawler one.

oh yea all kinds of fun to speculate lol no argument there. but have you heard some of the arguments? people get really into it and want to force their opinions on everyone about how Tali looks because of some random in game facts they decide must make the outcome lol.

Its the internet, people will get over-passionate arguing over anything.  Best to just avoid people like that once you find out they can't discuss things rationally.

What's off about it is that she looks cold in that picture, completely unlike the Tali we know.

Things seem fairly quiet around these parts the past hour or so. Some dicussion about what Tali may look like, a few pics and some commentary accompanied by a video clip of how cool it might be (or not) to watch Tali do "le parkour" on the Flotilla.

No, that's not it. Maybe it's just the person's face the artist based it off of that I'm not particularly fond of. I'm all for the quarians looking rather similar to the humans; in fact I find it likely considering their body structure. Perhaps it's the eyebrows...

I've heard the latter comment often, and I think I know why some people feel off about the picture. Really, aside from it being a detailed picture, Tali is looking towards the viewer via a sideways glance, so it seems more...femme fatale than it was intended to be. I've spoken with Cyrus on his DeviantArt page, and he agreed that it does seem more provocative than he intended it to be. As to the facial marking? Well...given how little an amount of time Quarian spend out of thier suits it would not really make alot of sense for them to have markings or tattoos like the Asari or Turians. Also, the darker shade of lavender skin is unlikely, main due to lighter skin tone from lack of UV exposure.

Most welcome. Agree. On accuracy. Still prefer light lavender regardless of accuracy. Personal preference.

YES. That's definitely it. It's the facial expression, not the face itself, that I take issue with.
