Alright we've got a pretty good idea of potential allies, but now let's think about what we will probably have to do to get them on our side.
Geth: They're pretty much determined to fight the Reapers already.
Rachni: They're building up an army just for that purpose.
Krogan: Cure genophage.
Quarian: Find a suitable homeworld or negotiate with geth to allow for peaceful coexistence on the same worlds
Council: Kill turian councilor, arrange it so that Garrus takes his place.
Humans: You're their hero already. They'll fight when the time comes.
Additional smaller Allies:
Hanar and Drell: Find new homeworld for drell that meets their requirements.
Did I miss out on anything?

all you want to do is play with your omni tool
what do you do?

If I take her somewhere nice, I won't need to play with my omni tool.
Uhm... Is Omni-tool the Dwarven Hand-cannon of Mass Effect?
In your case, more like gnomish pea-shooter

Quarians - Reclaiming their homeworld.
Geth - On board already because they know the reapers are real and are a major threat.
Krogan - Curing the genophage.
Those seem like the easy three to me. The others seem a lot more difficult. Especially the turians. Strongest army, a lot hate humans, councilor is an idiot.
*Edit* humans could go either way. I could see Udina buddying up to the turians to try and smooth out relations, screwing you over in the process. Anderson would probably be more willing to help.

This too is what I think the "keystone" quest will be for ME3. Some form of "hive mind" Queen /master control unit. One that Shepard and crew needs to take out to save the day while the surving combined human and council fleet fight a desperate holding war against the main reaper fleet.
Agreed. Even though Legion explains that Sovereign explained to the Geth that the Reapers are each autonomous units they still clearly appear to coordinate internally as a group. There is so much we do not know about the Reapers; there could be some sort of central network that might be used to incapacitate them or somehow turn them on each other, etc.

Well.... Let's go through the list.
Edit: Oops thought that read what would happen if they turned from our side. Oh well.
Krogan: Incredibly Warlike. Without Wrex to Corral them we may have rebellion 2.0. Unending waves of berserkers.
Geth: Alien, more so than the aliens. One mis-interpretted line of code created the heretics. We will be forced to remain on guard at all times even in peace.
Rachni: Powerful, their rebirth has been fast to say the least. They can survive in hostile enviroments resulting in near insurmountable defensive positions.
It'll be hell if any of these guys suddenly turn on us.<_<

I agree, so far all Tali fanfics I've read (NuclearBudha's, knight(numbersIforgot)'s and now this one, I know, it's not much, but I've only recently become a fanatic, and they quench my thirst for moar Tali, usually I don't read fanfics at all) seem to capture her personality extremely well, I'm impressed by all of your writing skills, really.Daskworx wrote...
