I would have a polite conversation with him. Just the two of us, Tali wouldn't be there, and I would be very upfront with him and state what my intentions were with his daughter.

Because those dicks have the mentality that since we love Tali we don't want anybody else to have their romances, which is not true, for me at least.

I'm perfectly fine with people having their Jack, Garrus, Jacob, Miranda, or *shudder* Thane, as long as I get to have my Tali too.

But it all boils down to most of them just being dicks.

I don't know about the bad rep... but they keep making those threads because they are jelous of our sucess, and they get buried really fast

I was reading a discussion in this thread on my phone, but by the time I got to my laptop, it was buried under a few pages. Anyway, I spent more time going through the dialogue with Legion and I re-ran his mission with Tali and re-ran her mission.



First, props to Bioware for showing subtle evolution in her character



Second, lemme explain the first thing. When speaking to the admirals on the Flotilla, you get the sense that Tali is a bit ready to go to war with the Geth, and you don't get the feeling that she sees them as anything more than just cold, evil, machines.



once you gain her complete trust (and/or affection), you begin to see her as more along Paragon-Shepard's views (on a paragon run that is). On Legion's mission, though she has reservations about rewriting the heretics out of fear that Legion will gain strength, you also see it in her dialogue that she is beginning to see the Geth as a people. Her argument with Legion shows this more if you give the paragon answer. Too bad Tali's on-ship dialogue dead-ends so early.



I see her as being a bit impressionable, yet open-minded. Something the other members of her race seem to lack



I can see Legion and Tali as being the Geth-Quarian peace ambassadors in ME3, with Shepard being the heavily-armed buffer standing in front of them... and I can also see Daro'Xen being shamed/getting killed somewhere along the way lol.
