In ME3, Conrad Verner is going to tell you that he's going to leave his wife and hook up with a Quarian.

Then you get can (paragon) change his mind or (renegade) encourage him to do it.

One of the biggest problems Quarians face is their negative image. People won't give them jobs, try to keep them out of their areas, etc.

This is exactly the reason why Tali likes Shepard and was so surprised that he likes her too. Shepard treats Tali like an equal, a friend, in a galaxy that thinks Quarians are trash. Shepard makes Tali feel like she can trust him with anything. You can imagine how she felt when he said that he's interested in her. On top of that, Shepard treats her like Tali, and not the admiral's daughter. Tali notes in ME1 that being the admiral's daughter has made other quarians resent her and expected higher from her. Some of them also spare her the hardships other quarians have, which she doesn't want either as she is so selfless.

her relationship with Shepard isn't something she can just throw away.

lol Shepard was in the wrong place, wrong time.
Still I dont know if he'd want a councilor position, and the council already has a human if you saved them, Anderson or Udina.(Who picked Udina though)

Think about it, it Shepard never got that close to the Prothian artifact, then he never would have had the visions, and then would have assumed, just like everyone else, that the threat was only Sarren and the Geth.
The cycle of destruction the Reapers have created would have played out the same as ever: the Mass Relays would have been shut down, the Citadel taken over, and all life picked off one at a time until everyone was either dead, or slaves for the Reapers.
So, maybe it's more of a 'right place, right time' kind of thing.

How about this for right place right time, if Powel wasn't sleeping behind those crates, you would have never known Saren was behind Eden Prime.  We never accuse him of treason in the first place, Garrus doesn't get the lead, and we don't hear about Tali's evidence.  We never would have met Tali.  She would have been taken out by Fist's assassins.  We all owe Powel a great debt of thanks for saving Tali

Yeah, but that'll be at the end, during the Reaper fight. :P

Possible, but the power and importance of a single person should never be ignored, Professor.

Has less influence than might think. Even if made Admiral, is only one of five. Only carries so far.

Well, I don't have the knowlage to argue the point, but I just don't think everything can be explained through math and numbers. There are sometimes variables that can't be calculated.

I have a feeling Conrad will actually be useful in ME3 and not an utter fool. Of course BW'll likely just keep him for comedic--and stupedic (not a word, I know)--relief, but I personally think he would be even funnier if he turned out to be beneficial in some way.

LOL! True, so the real hero of humanity is Powel and his naps.

It's funny now sometimes something seemingly completely insignificant can change the course of history.
Little scary, too.

I fail to see how being an admiral or the admira's daughter has anything to do with making it more important that Tali reproduces. Tali is important, but she can do a lot more helping Shepard defeat the Reapers than she would being pregnant. :l

Isnt it a Quarians choice as to weather they want kids or not anyways?

Indeed I do; it's sometimes the simplest of events that can change your entire life.

PS: Good episode. ^_^
