  • Ashley's the tomboy. She's not real romantic and guys who don't care about that and are more likely to be looking for a 'kick-ass chick' will gravitate towards her.
  • Miranda's the ice queen. She's a challenge - guys who like a challenge will most definitely gravitate towards her. She's hot, confident, and knows it.
  • Tali is the girl next door. Therein lies her appeal and her secret power.

Ash is a tomboy? I always caught her as the sensitive type  that hides it because they are determined to change their family image. Especially after she sends you the make-up poem in ME2

Agree on Miranda

Tali... never saw her as the girl next door but this is just me. She is more that kind of woman that I never dream would be interested in me. The kind of woman you want but never think you could have. The out-of-my-league girl

Eh, just because she's a tomboy doesn't mean Ash can't be sensitive too. I just don't think she's big on sentimentality - Valentine's day probably isn't a big deal for the Chief and even if it is, I always got the feeling she'd rather be taken out mudding in a 4x4 than wined and dined with roses and chocolates.

Interesting that you'd put her as the out of your league type - I find Tali to be the complete opposite... The one that's easy to talk to, the one that's approachable and friendly, the one who doesn't intimidate every guy she comes across because she's trying to put on a 'tough' image, or because she's so physically attractive that they feel outclassed before they even open their mouth.

Miranda's gonna be wearing ball gowns. Ash is gonna be wearing camos, and Tali's a "jeans and t shirt mussed hair I don't care what I look like just get outta my way so i can fix that engine" kinda girl.

I don't think Tali is pretentious like some of the fems in me are, she might be approachable and polite, but I don't think she is easily impressed either. I don't see Tali with anyone except a Shep like character, that would sweep her off her feet. She seems to enjoy the danger and excitement.

Haha, yes.. I remember that line. I did actually romance Ash my first time through, although I also ended up leaving her to die on Virmire in that particular playthrough - Purely tactical decision made by the man on the spot. Making sure the nuke was set was more important. Shepard didn't go back for Kaiden. He went back to double check on the nuke, since the LT was under fire.

Anyway, yeah.. I mean.. I don't think Tali's particularly girly-girl femine either. You need Liara for that. I think Tali's awkwardness in the actual sex scene with her proves that she really doesn't think about relationships or sex, or even herself as a woman and a sexual creature goes to show that.

But that's part of her appeal, to me at least.

What does shepard actualy says..never saw anyone use it

I intentionally sent ash with the salarians then went to save the salarians more so than ash. I wanted the "I met Kirrahe" option with Mordin

This is correct. Right after you are grounded, Shep is pouting and being all emo by the storage lockers and if you have a current romantic interest, they come and talk to you - They get closer and almost share a kiss when Joker interrupts you. If you have no current romantic interest there's no scene to interrupt and Joker just contacts you over the comm.

Tali: What could I possibly be suggesting? I mean a young woman gets rescued by a dashing commander who lets her join his crew and goes off to save the galaxy? How could she possibly develop any feelings for him.....

You know that comment actually made me worried... That Tali was simply infatuated with the Legend that was Shepard and not truly in love. I mean yea if you had been there you would kinda love him but is it real love or just the simple awe of the fact that he pulled it off?

Too true, we won't know, but she seems to either enjoy danger, or it just finds her. She's chasing after geth and running into assassins before she even met Shep.

My fav is if you have both LI's going. They both confront you and demand that you choose. If you say you dont want to be shared the Human LI gives up and you are stuck with Liara whether you are male or female

Oh, I took that option. I don't recall what her response was - She didn't take it the wrong way though, she definitely took it as a joke. Ash is very aware that she is a soldier first, and a woman second - She says as much when she comes to sleep with Shep before Ilos - says she's had to give up a lot, sacrifice a lot to be where she is.

Her feminine mysticism was an ironic self-deprecating comment to start with, after all. If you take that conversation all it really shows is that Sheperd's rolling with the feed line.

I think it's both and I don't think that's a bad thing - Shepard is who he is, regardless of what he's doing - Miranda (and the Illusive man, to a lesser degree)  allude to this.

Saving the galaxy does not make Shepard a remarkable man. He saves the galaxy because he already is one. The events in ME1 and ME2 do nothing to make him remarkable. They just allow him to demonstrate his, uh, remarkability (I made a word up!)

Ash tasted the sweet tang of nuclear fire in each play through for me. There was just -something- about her that made me think. "You'd make a great sacrifice for the greater good." Guess she just had one of those faces

love always starts as a spark, whether it's looks, or personality, or it's someone saving the galaxy. It all depends what happens after that spark, will they work at it and grow the love until it's unbreakable, or do they just get all nasty and sweaty and go their own ways after a few hours/days/months? We will have to wait and see. I think as there is a risk of death (a small risk as in anaphylactic shock) that it is more than just a schoolgirl crush, or infatuation.

I dunno. Something about that particular convo just struck me as out of character for her I suppose, everything else about her rang true but that one just sat oddly with me
