The comic explains what they did to her, the Shadow Broker got her friend that helped her get Shepards body back, and tried to kill her.

And then theres that small part not in the comic when they make out

If your Sheppard loved Tali in Mass Effect but could not romance her, dumping Liara isn't really like cheating... That was Boware's fault for not letting us romance her in ME 1 All my male shep that will romance Liara will say bye bye fo Ashley and Liara.

yeah, i don't know why somebody hangs out here, being primarily a liara guy, but he's become one of the core posters so he's welcome as anyone else.
