Miranda didn't tell you that she'd be the best for the job, she only said that any biotic could create a shield, which is true.

I might also point out that Miranda tells you that she is a strong biotic, "for a human".

Yeah, but hearing her say "I can do it too" carried a lot of weight, especially since the last time she recommended someone (herself as the leader for the other team), was actually good advice.

I know. The whole concept is difficult to understand. To us, Tali would not be considered subtle, especially in appearance . But everyone I know that plays Mass Effect does not know her character and don't care either. Which is awesome :innocent:

I dunno, "subtle" isn't the first thing I would describe Tali as.  She certainly isn't shy about getting in people's faces or threatening them when she gets annoyed.  "Subtle" and "majestic" I think are maybe adjectives that people might want to think of her as having, rather than traits she has actually displayed

Yet people here seem to have this idea that Tali's sweet and innocent, even in sexual endeavors... using your metaphor, they shook the bottle of soda, and then opened it and expected to see the same thing as before.

Just my opinion.  Literally everyone I know that plays ME2 doesn't know or care about Tali's character, much less if she's a LI. I'm surprise these many people are on here and that the Tali thread is this big, because if not for the site I'd think I was in the minority (am I? Are we?) and the rest of these forums doesn't understand the Tali-craze, either.

My point is that Tali is definitely the subtle LI compared to Miranda and Jack. Agree?

Yeah, Tali really isn't quite that subtle or shy in most circumstances. She never has a problem yelling at someone or voicing her opinion.

But when it comes to personal things, such as her feelings for Shepard, that's when she starts to fall apart and get all nervous.

It's all good though, it's what makes her awesome. She'll yell at the drive core for being a bosh'tet one minute, and the next she's blabbering and stuttering to Shepard.

I said this a couple days ago: I think people are confusing Tali being a nice person with her being "shy and innocent."  She "made an appointment" with the Shadow broker in the first game, so naive maybe, but she stood up for herself and struck preemptively when she knew the deal had gone bad.  She's very vocal about her beliefs and defends them even if Shepard disagrees.  I think she is a very strong person, and an assertive natural leader; remember, she is the leader of large teams two separate times in ME 2, even at her young age.  She would probably seem more assertive too if she didn't defer to Shepard out of respect for rank and him being the captain of the ship.

Were they stoned while playing ME? Tali's just as big a character, if not bigger, than most characters in the franchise... Even Wrex has taken a backseat to her
