I think the resolution to this is pretty simple. We both agree - Pauravi and I - that sex is often an important part of a relationship. But, a relationship can exist without sex without it being just friends. An easy example would be couples abstaining from sex before marriage. If Pauravi can't understand that well...his loss.

Sure I can understand that, but even those couples often do lots of things besides sex.

That's my point.

Also, there is little reason for Tali and Shep to abstrain, frankly.  Yes it carries some risk, but their first contact will always be risky no matter how long they wait.  Either they can have physical contact or they can never have physical contact.  It is clear that Tali wants it and Shepard wants it, and if it is going to happen it may as well be then

I don't think we know the whole picture. All we really know is that it's dangerous. Tali and Shepard have already been intimate, it's a rather irrevalent point, and not really the reason for this discussion in the first place.

Anyway, I understand now that you were talking about the people in the thread rather than the romances themselves.  That's fine.  I personally don't have a problem with it; people like sex, and even if they talk about it a lot, it doesn't mean that it is the only thing they're concerned with.  I agree with you, it would be a shame if people ignored Tali's personality and only cared about getting to the sex scene, but I don't think that's what is going on.

I'll have to disagree. I have seen some pretty tasteless sexual talk among other things. It does not belong here, there are plenty of other venues if someone wants to take it to a mindlessly sexual level. But thank you for now understanding what I'm getting at.

My two cents is that I think that it's hard for me to envision a lasting romance without physical intimacy, but that physical intimacy doesn't always eqate sex. There is kissing, cuddling and everything else too.

Thanks for being reasonable. Now, I will pose the thread with a question. How do you think the Flotilla would react to Shepard being with Tali? Would Tali care?

Personally, I see some of the quarians disapproving the relationship, but Tali not giving a damn.

It's tough b/c there's only so much to discuss about Tali before we run out. I honestly find that debating on other topics is extremely fun, especially considering that the other people are for the most part incredibly mature.

We're all here because Tali is awesome. That's a fact. But I don't see anything wrong with us letting a conversation, that started Tali-relevant, play out and seeing where it goes.
