Seriously though, I think people should take a step back and take deep volus like breaths. No matter what Bioware do, what face they put on Tali it really won't matter in the end because we'll be so caught up in the game's story itself that her face reveal will probably just be icing.
Can't please everyone, so who ever will / has drawn Tali's face, will please himself / herself first and foremost and make her the beauty in his / her mind. The rest of us just will have to live with it.
One problem with what you said. Whoever draws Tali's face isn't going to draw it in a way that it appeals to them, they will draw it in a way that it appeals to the most people. It is a business after all. That means most likely no very distinguishing characteristics or stuff that will turn a lot of people off.
Or it could have been done by some one who really liked Tali's character / personality and will do justice. Nothing to say that the artist who did Tali's face can't be a "Talimancer" right?
Same could be said of the artist just doing his / her job and making it as "generic" as possible. Seriously, if any artist took a concensus of what people want Tali to look like, they'd never get anywhere.
Some wants her to look human, some want her hot, some say hair, some say no hair, we have some who loved the four nostril depiction, some hated it, and lots lots more.
Take me for example, I personally see NO issue if they made Quarians space elves.

I would be shocked, congratulate those who really wanted her to look "alien" and go on my way and still enjoy Tali as my LI.
