Yup.  Just the general idea if it fits the description of what we got so far.

That was actually the complaint that I had with nightcrawler Tali yesterday.  I can't see almost any of that picture turning out to be what she looks like.  From the eyes being  the wrong shape, to weird wrinkles, to the 4 nostrils.  Nothing on the picture seems to be backed up from what we know about her face so far, or more popularly accepted conjecture.  It doesn't postulate on the hair/ear situation either.  I see it more as a random face with Tali's hood around it.

It's an alright picture, I just can't see it even remotely resembling Tali in the end.  Maybe I'm just biased though since I'm expecting a more human face.

Or it could have been done by some one who really liked Tali's character / personality and will do justice. Nothing to say that the artist who did Tali's face can't be a "Talimancer" right?
Same could be said of the artist just doing his / her job and making it as "generic" as possible. Seriously, if any artist took a concensus of what people want Tali to look like, they'd never get anywhere.
Some wants her to look human, some want her hot, some say hair, some say no hair, we have some who loved the four nostril depiction, some hated it, and lots lots more.

Take me for example, I personally see NO issue if they made Quarians space elves.
This for example :

but if they made her look like this :



I would be shocked, congratulate those who really wanted her to look "alien" and go on my way and still enjoy Tali as my LI.

Because there is no human in the same galaxy with Tali as far as appeal to me.  I love her personality, connection to my character, body, the way she acts.  How her face looks is of little concern to me, I'm just stating that I expect it to be human-like.  If it was more alien I wouldn't stop liking her.

What part of 6 toes, 6 fingers, digigrade legs, slanted glowing eyes, immune systems forcing you to live life in a suit is human?  We tend to look at Tali as not very alien since we have grown used to her alien traits.  They're still there, and a human like face won't make her any less of an alien.
