Then why dont you just take a human?  Miranda's nice if you want a human looking... human.

Because there is no human in the same galaxy with Tali as far as appeal to me.  I love her personality, connection to my character, body, the way she acts.  How her face looks is of little concern to me, I'm just stating that I expect it to be human-like.  If it was more alien I wouldn't stop liking her.

What part of 6 toes, 6 fingers, digigrade legs, slanted glowing eyes, immune systems forcing you to live life in a suit is human?  We tend to look at Tali as not very alien since we have grown used to her alien traits.  They're still there, and a human like face won't make her any less of an alien.

And now I want a face that matches those traits.  A human face is, well, human.

There's a difference between human and human like.  Tali's face will still most likely be a different color, as well as have slanted eyes that may or may not glow.  Her ears are different as well.  A good part of her face is confirmed as not human.  Filling in the blanks as humans results in a generally pleasing, but still alien face.  When you try to make the whole thing alien, you tend to end up with polarizing faces that some like, and others hate.

Well, I still want a human like face, wich the nightcrawler face has wich is still alien looking.  As for ears, there supposed to be similar to Asari, as in they arent visible.  I'm not sure about hair though, any confirmation on that part?

Isn't there a screenshot where you can see what appears to be eyebrows? It's been posted a number of times in this thread. If she has eyebrows then it's not at all impossible that she has hair or even eyelashes.

I think we may have different definitions of human-like.  Or at least desire different degrees of it.  To me nightcrawler Tali is as alien as they could possibly make her.  We already know that quarian faces have the same shape and basic structure as humans.  If the nose and skin and everything is still in the same place, but very alien, I don't really consider that human-like.

As far as hair, no official indication one way or the other.  some expect hair, some others don't.  I think it's likely she ends up with hair though.

The nightcrawler one has a human like face, nose, normal eyes, lips and teeth exactly like humans.  Its practicly a dark purplelish human if it werent for the nose.

I would consider both pictures very alien.  The eyes are most definitely not human.  Not only do they not resemble the shape of quarian eyes, they seem larger and shaped differently than humans as well.  The fact that they glow makes them more alien than human as well.

The eyes, when combined with the alien nose, and the dark, ridged skin, create a very alien feel.  There are only a few features that push opinion in one direction or the other.  The only thing human about nightcrawler Tali is the mouth.  And that doesn't stick out at all compared with the rest of the face.

Again, human-shaped is not the same as human-like.  The eyes are not human at all, and do not come across that way to someone looking at the picture for the first time.  Whether you want to say they're similar or not to human eyes is one thing, the fact that they appear very alien is what matters.  The skin is clearly meant to be alien as well.  Just because humans have a layer of skin around their face doesn't mean any alien skin is human-like.  That skin is as opposite of human as you can get before you start using scales.

There are 4 features on this face that I judge by.  The eyes, the skin, the nose and the mouth.  Out of those 4, three are alien.  The only human feature being the smallest one doesn't help the human-like appearance argument.

I fail to see how the eyes are "alien" except for the glowing part.  The skin is purple, its like saying the black man is alien because his skin is a different color and the nose we agree on, its alien.

I just hope Quarians are cybernetic so look like a fusion of organic and synthetic parts to give off a unique appeal. Their faces, partly skin, partly metallic, some parts expressionless, some lifelike, so to make the whole construction of Geth more symbolic as a whole. Not saying Quarian faces should look like Geth faces but they should be less human...part of why it's odd a human would find their faces curious enough to look at because there isn't too much you can relate.

It's a matter of perception.  The person viewing the picture (or at least just me) notices the glowing eyes and thinks alien before looking closely at the shape and thinking human.  The glow distorts how you look at the rest of the eye.  Even if they do end up being the same size as human eyes, they don't look like that at first, since human eyes appear smaller.

As far as skin, its more the ridges for me than the color.  I'm fine with any color Bioware wants to go with, they can pretty much justify anything.  The ridges are what makes it alien for me.  They are very pronounced, and completely destroy the human-like appearance of a smooth face, similar to the way scales do.

I like the idea of cyborg Quarians, like the rumors that are passed around in the first one.

Then again, I'm biased on anything cyborg like. :bandit:

I seriously doubt they're going to look anything like geth in the head.  If I was designing a humanoid robot to use as a slave, I definitely wouldn't make the face/head even remotely resembling my own.

I don't think anything like that is supported anywhere.  I don't have the Ascension description on me, but it doesn't mention anything bizarre like that.  I see a stretch of imagination that far to be unlikely.
