that's where the math gets fuzzy... the theory is that the point mass (the core of the black hole) is infinitly small, yet infinitely massive. thus, the spacetime distortion makes the approximately 2 meter size of the black hole appear infinite to objects inside it... right now, the physics of a black hole make no sense... science just isn't far enough yet.

Where are you getting this 2-meter measurement from?  A 10-Solar Mass black hole has an event horizon that is at least tens of kilometers wide, and the larger ones (hundred to thousands of solar masses)  can be the size of a planet.  Obviously the supermassive ones can be very large indeed.

Also, if an object could "observe" while in a black hole, it almost certainly would not see an infinitely large space.  Frankly, it is silly to make any statement at all about what goes on within the event horizon of a black hole -- we don't even have predictions for it.

Yeah... although I think that the ME story was planned out a bit more thoroughly as a cohesive story.  The other thing is, ME revolves around Shepard, so it is a more natural idea to bring his relationships back into the story.  In the DA expansion, you can actually continue the story with a different character than you finished Origins with, partly because the main character can die in Origins.  It would not make sense for Leliana, or Sten, or... well.. any of them to even be in the story if your character was killed.  However, Shepard is guaranteed to be part of all three games in ME.  DA seems much more about telling the story of the world rather than the story of a main protagonist.
