On which mission is that waterfall scene anyway? I can't remember seeing it on any of my playthroughsImage IPB

Its on Zaeeds loyalty missionImage IPB

Tali is the only character to pull it off
Jack doesn't look sensual
Miranda is too buisness during missions to just decide to take a scenic relaxation moment in the middle of killing people
Garrus and Jacob are soldiers, and fit the same profile
Thane's coat hides his features

Is there any way to get Zaeed's loyalty without abandoning the civilians?

i think there is some kind of paragon dialouge, where you tell  zaeed to forget vido and to focus on the missionImage IPB

Zaeed's loyalty quest.
Wait till you get Tali, then bring her along.

There's a persuasion check to keep his loyalty.

Ya. All the more reason to wait till you get Tali.
If you have enough Paragon points, you make the choice which is almost "renegade" since you do point a gun to the man's head and tell him that, if he ever fracks up the mission for personal revenge, you'll shoot him.

Sometimes I have the feeling paragon isn't all that paragon. For example when you threaten to break that elcor's legs on OmegaImage IPB

Garbage because it might not agree with your choices?
If that is what you feel, that is your right. But do you see any way a movie featuring Shepard can be both male and female? Which is one of the most fundamental choice there is in the game.

No, dude, jeez.  Garbage because the most fundamental pillar of the Mass Effect franchise is personal choice, and the ramifications and emotional attachments that are the byproducts of said choice.  Boiled down to its purest form, the idea and backbone of Mass Effect is this: "Shepard's story is your story."  It's an idea that lends itself very well (I would say transcendently well) to videogames as a medium, and is utterly unworkable with a static, regimented medium like film.  Which is why a Mass Effect film about Shepard would be garbage: it tears the heart and soul out of the franchise.

3 words: Blasto. The. Jellyfish.

That is the ONLY Mass Effect related movie I'd see.

Makes sense that paragon in ME2 wouldn't be as "good" as paragon in ME1.  There's a difference between helping dying colonists and dealing with murderous criminals.  And that's pretty much all you do in ME2.  The situations don't really require the same amounts of hugging people if you ask me.

It makes sense and it's pretty cool too. It was just kind of a surprise that threatening a merchant was considered paragon, especially since Shep didn't even try to find a .... friendlier solution first.

Shepard's in the rough part of the galaxy this time around, so he reacts accordingly when necessary, and it's always with tough customers (like when he's dealing with the surviving Eclipse merc at the start of Grunt's recruitment mission, and the Blue Suns commander in Thane's recruitment mission). Charm options like that may seem a little off-color, but I'm thinking Bioware's justified in having them. Besides, the vast majority of Paragon conversation options or interupts are still very "good" (Interrupt Hug FTW!).

Generally, what I do now is get everyone except Legion (get the IFF quest) first, then do the loyalty missions. That way, you get to have either Paragon / Renegade options available to you for each loyalty check.

My first playthrough was like that, so I got Legion last. Though, on one of my other playthroughs I did try getting him early. Bad mistake. Lost Kelly, Gabby and Donnelly as well as some others. Kelly I don't really care for much but she feeds my fish, and the engineering couple joined Cerberus because of Shepard. Damn straight I am not going to let them down. So now its always IFF mission last, do Legion's Loyalty quest then straight through the Omega 4 Relay.

Gonna go finish up my other ME1 replays. Got the new Arc weapon from Cerberus net. Want to see what its like. :)
