Reflective theory goes on assumption that light emitted by in-helmet HUD could be reflected.

Just as I was about to set somebody straight on the theory, here comes Scalpels.  I love this thread.

Her visor seems pretty opaque for a mere reflection to penetrate as brightly as her eyes glow...

possible that opaqueness lesses near eye region?

Oh, that's why she pounces,

We find this unlikely. Organics may have the urge to "pounce" on other organics that wish to mate, or in other words, "sexually excited".

and you have a different theory "doc"?

Have three theories. Believe all possible.

Bioluminescence: Would provide glow. May make vision difficult/impossible.
Reflectivity: Specifically reflecting HUD via eyeshine. Would not impeed vision. May not provide bright enough glow.
Cybernetics: Similar to T.I.M. Glowing byproduct of synthetic eyes.

Mixture of all three possible as well. Awaiting data to prove/disprove/rewrite theories.

No, I mean they don't make sense biologically.  It would impair vision, probably to the point of blindness.

I think that the glowing eyes behind the visor were just to make Tali and the other Quarians more expressive, I don't think they will glow that way when she takes the visor off.

= alians are not exactly like humans look  light may blind them if looked into directly some other species if look at light directly will not harm vision

tali has glowing eyes in engine room barly any light there

exactly. but light is still there. actually supports idea of reflective eyes over glowing.

little light cannot make tali eyes light up like lightbulbs unless has protective lenses around eyes

also helmet acts like sun glasses since of its dark color deflect most light from reaching eyes

That's the main reason I love the scene so much. At first I was like "oh fukk you bioware!" But the more I thought about it the more i came to like it.

LOL!  That was my reaction - "YOU B-----DS!!!!"  Then I laughed!

It's priceless!

(As far as I'm concerned, they could get away with NEVER showing Tali's face - as long as they show us some Quarians so we can fill in with our imaginations.)

Light would lose luminoscity crossing the mask, during the reflective process and coming back across mask for us to see. Effect would be almost unoticable in dark invironments if this were the case which it is not. Furthermore reflective membrane only noticable if looking directly into eyes such as cats, when they turn away effect is not visible. This is not the case for tali as eyes are always 'lit'. Evidence points to bioluminescense or some type of mechanical implants.

We have offered another theory: Tapetum lucidum parts in Creator's eyes.

I am "Paragone" - full Paragon bar with a teeny bit of Renegade.

Maybe "Paragode"...  but not even close to "Paragade".
