Hey everyone.  I just got my new issue of Game Informer in the mail, and there's an interview with Casey Hudson in it.  There's nothing Tali-specific in it, of course, but he had an interesting comment that makes me think all of the living characters in ME2 will have an impact in ME3.  Here's a direct quote.

Q.) Certain party members from the first game can be recruited in ME2.  Does that mean we'll see characters from this game make a return in ME3?

A.) You will definitely be able to see characters from ME2 in ME3, as long as they're alive in the end of your story.  ... it's going to be a huge payoff for players of the ME trilogy to see what happens with all these characters and storylines started by the first two games.

No new info here, but it makes me optimistic for how BioWare wants to approach the story's resolution.  It seems they want to tie up all the loose ends, which I think will be a good thing for any romance-able characters from either the first or second game.

Anywho, just throwing it out there.  Keelah se'lai.  :D

You've made me a little happier. :)
I kinda figured ME2 characters would have, at the minimum, a cameo but I'm really hoping for more than that. This is encouraging, thanks for posting!

EA isn't as bad as they were. Its time for whoever's still hating them to reexamine the company.

Activision is the new devil.

Yeah, EA isn't nearly as "evil" as they once seemed.

I don't really have a problem with them publishing BioWare's stuff. It seems to me that they give BioWare complete--or very close to complete--control over their projects.

It's an absolutely beautiful thing when a talented development studio has access to tons of financial resources, while at the same time keeping complete creative control. Some notable examples of this would be Valve and Blizzard.

Sorry had to come back to say that blizzard sold out to the devil long ago after the success of WoW. They are now part of activision, and are one of the worst examples of what happens to good developers when they get rich. WoW completely massacred the story of Warcraft and the new Starcraft instalments (yes pluaral) further points to thier greed as a major motivating factor.

I'm sorry if I offend anyone, but I never saw the big deal about the disc swapping. I mean, it only takes 10-15 seconds max to get off of your butt (if you're on 360) and change out the discs!

Agreed. That said, I can also appreciate the inconvenience at getting up in the middle of a game where you have found a comfortable sitting position and may be deeply immersed in the game, walk across the living room (if your Xbox 360 isn't near you) in order to change discs.

I prefer to play various games on my PC as opposed to my Xbox 360 and thus disc count is irrelevant as long as my HDD has the storage space needed and one disc serves as the operating disc. I still recall playing FF VII and BGII which had some 4 or 5 discs to switch back and forth between. Wing Commander IV was even worse.

1 disc cannot hold 90 to 100 hrs of gameplay to much info stored on disc need multiple discs to play all tht content

Oh man, how I'd love if they made ME3 take advantage of PC hardware. It wouldn't directly influence the Xboxers, but imagine Tali screenshots and videos with this level of detail. (Max settings, of course, it would be scalable)

That game literally came out at the same time as ME1, too.

Personally, I think it'd be idiocy on Bioware's part to write all of the characters out and introduce an all-new cast for the finale of a trilogy. Not only would 80% of the fanbase march up to Canada and riot, but it would completely contradict all the time you spent recruiting and getting to know "the best of the best."

No prob man.  I also read somewhere else, that the romance storyline is going to be resolved.  That is, if you have a romance in both games, you have to make a choice, or the chars have issues, or something.  No specifics, but I'm sure BioWare will do an awesome job if they decide to flesh out Shepard's personal life.  Here's hoping for a Tali-resolution!

They should absolutely return, and in a big way.
I may not be a gigantic fan of Liara or Ashley/Kaiden, but there's a reason they were unkillable in ME2.

Name a single game on the Xbox 360 that beats Crysis.  Just one.

Cameo...the word used to make me laugh...now it makes me  Thankfully that interview makes me feel better.
Now, Casey, you have plenty of time between now and ME3 to accidently release spoilers

Yeah of course, the Xbox version would totally be scaled back to be on par with ME1/ME2. Just saying, it would be nice to have access to those visuals on my PC. :P

I think that's what you'll get - if you managed to kill off all your supporting squad members, you'll have those held back from ME1 so you'll at least have two to join you on missions.
