They'd have to sacrifice one element of the game to supplement the other. For example, Morrowind, prequel to Oblivion, was much larger and had much more content than Oblivion, but the graphics and animation sucked. Oblivion had great graphics, and luckily still kept the great stories, but it had much less content.

if u read fourms about game i forgot was country name was in game but it says there are 50 estates or states  or what ever u call em u can seige each one also has multiplayer where u can have guilds/Territory was etc. i think its not lacking how big game is

true, and to the other post, do we really want to play a 500 hour long Mass Effect? seriously, that would be too much, and would not allow for multiple play throughs. and 3.9 terabytes is a lot more than many pcs can handle now...

I agree.  Everything about the design is ridiculously well thought out (and it fits what we already know about Quarians).

They haven't said this and your fooling yourself if you think they weren't going to make expansions anyways. This way you get 3 full fledged campaigns instead of the ones you get in either SC or BW.

And you are fooling yourself if you think it isn't possible for them to sell us three full campaigns in one single game release. You know, like they did with the first Starcraft. It's a blatant money grab and I will not reward them with a single cent nor penny. I don't mind well made and large official expansion packs (2 hours don't cut it in my book as a reference). Buy it by all means. It's your money. I'll be spending my money on other things or saving it. Either of those options benefits me more than paying money to Activision which is how I prefer it.

I look forward as to whether the net broadcast comments by Casey regarding a potential "old school" full-on expansion pack pan out for ME2 the way BioWare is doing with DA:O. That could be most excellent, IMO.

I agree.  Everything about the design is ridiculously well thought out (and it fits what we already know about Quarians). 

I'm probably not going to be very popular for saying this, but I don't understand why people love this pic so much. Don't get me wrong, it's nice and whoever did it is really talented, but Tali looks completely human. At least change her skin tone to purple or something.

And the skin is a nice unhealthy pale. JUST LIKE IT SHOULD BE FOR SOMEONE WHO HAS NEVER HAD THEIR SKIN IN THE SUN THEIR WHOLE LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
