I like the picture too, but... what is alien about it?
I mean, the picture doesn't actually SHOW much, except 3/4ths of her face, so there is room for adding some more alien features, but frankly she pretty much looks human there to me.

Well, it's apparent by the picture she hasn't had sunlight in her life, and to me it's alien in a way of an overall appearance. There are definite human interests, but there is a alien tint to her, especially the eyes.
