The most tragic thing about Tali is her dextro chirality; she'll never get to enjoy cheddar cheez-its.
I'm currently munching on the Dextro Version of Cheddar Cheez-its.

There are better things she'll miss, and I'm sure there are things Shepard will miss out on as well.sergio71785 wrote...

I'd prefer Tali not have a full body infection personally, but that's the Paragon talking. *shrugs*
Because more skin = more exposure to germs.
Those drugs aren't perfect.
They don't make her completely immune, just reduce the risk of infection slightly.
If there is moe to be done to reduce the risk I'd do it.

Frankly I don't think it makes a difference. It's like the 5-second rule -- it doesn't get any more contaminated. Either you don't touch and she doesn't get sick, or you do touch and she does. More touching or less won't change anything.DrathanGervaise wrote...

I've thought a lot about that, actually -- food is kind of a major deal in most cultures. A lot of family and community events revolve around food, and going out somewhere to eat is a common activity just in terms of spending time with friends and such. I imagine that most restaurants in ME have food for both types of DNA, but not being able to share is kind of a bummer.
That said, in actual biology chirality is not as big an issue as they make it out to be. There are a lot of foods that we consume that contain proteins of opposite chirality; something is not poisonous simply because it contains the "wrong" type of protein. However, two proteins of opposite chirality DO taste different even if they are otherwise the same compound. So, even if they could eat our food and us theirs, they would taste differently to us.
Two things: why did you tell us then, and I'm pretty sure I know whatcha mean.GMR25 wrote...

Just want to emphasis this.
People need to be educated. I'm tired of having to teach people these concepts all over again.
If Tali were real and dextro-protein based, you probably could. It just wouldn't taste like pizza to herSol243 wrote...

Or rather, it wouldn't taste to her like it tastes to you. Although even if it were a dextro-pizza she probably has different taste receptors. Which means...
.. aw screw it.
