A while later everyone is abord the Normandy, Tali included, all sad and crying over Shepard's death. Until suddenly, EDI picks up a transmission from a nearby escape pod, and sensors show lifesigns aboard it. The escape pod is from the exact same frigate Shepard was on.

Yeah, it's cheesy and cliche as hell. And you know what? Not a single one of you won't have a huge grin at that point! 

Cheesiness is ok by me, I'm all for a happy ending if it means a happy Tali.  ME 3 doesn't have to be Romeo and Juliet.

I agree, cheesy >> > sad.  I won't be happy if we have a forced sad ending to ME3.

Poetically, I think Bioware would handle it differently.  First vision that popped into my mind goes as such:
- The epilogue of Mass Effect 3, Tali stands on a cliff overlooking one of Rannoch's oceans.  After a few seconds, she turns and walks into her home.  The camera cuts to her bedroom and she looks at a picture (hidden from the viewer).  She puts the picture down and sits down on the bed.  Camera pans over to the picture which shows Shepard and a written "I love you."  In the background (blurred by depth of field effects), we see Tali crying as the screen fades to black.

Sad, somber, but would have a MASSIVE emotional impact.

Marriage/house building thing over rated. Too mundane. I wan't to zoom around the galaxy w/ my Tali.

Marriage?  I think you're missing the part where Shep is dead.

So I guess is split right now...some say ME3 will have a happy ending....and others say it will be a freaking sob fest...followed by a riot down to the Bioware and EA offices...

If Kal'Reegar shows up in ME3 I'm making sure to keep him alive just in case I need him around to look after Tali in the event of Shepard's untimely demise. Not that I wouldn't have kept him alive anyway just because he is totally awesome. Hopefully the precautions are not necessary and Kal, Tali, and Shepard can all meet on the Rayya for a round of beers. Or beers and whatever passes as Quarian party-drinks.

I actually can't see it having one static ending.  All indications so far point to multiple endings, with your choices deciding everything from the reapers killing everyone, to living happily ever after with Tali.

I'm okay with this ending. But there are a lot of better options. But there always are.

It's basically a more diabetes-inducing version of the ME ending.

I honestly think the ending which Shepard dies SHOULD be a sobfest.  BUt there should also be a YAY happy ending too.
