Acutally something that stuck out to me was the sameness of the suits that all the quarians wore. Then again. to quarians perhaps a tiny variation means alot more. When I look at a pic of a paintball team in uniform with masks on, I can tell every member apart. Most pepole who don't play paintball they look exactly the same to them.

I saw that more as a limit on development time/money.  I would assume all quarian's outfits would be decorated as much and as uniquely as Tali's.  But Bioware just can't be bothered to go through that much specific details for every quarian npc.

Aye, when I was a soldier in my country's Royal Guard I could easily distinguish the other grenadier guardsmen when in dress uniform (bearskin hat and all), yet my parents couldn't pick me out of the parade guard despite being several feet away from me while in that get-up. One of my uncles who also served in the Royal Guard when he was younger experienced the same thing with his father. This phenomenon is also frequently experienced by people of one ethnic/racial background when they move to a region of the world where another ethnic/racial group predominates, at least until their sense of identifying distinguishing features is developed further.

Do you use Finale, Sibelius, Capella...?

Negative. I use Music Maker 15 and Sound Essentials vol. 6.

I'm tempted to plop down the money for FL 9 Studio Fruity Edition. Have you heard/read/seen anything regarding that product and if so, what were your impressions of it? What about the three software packages you mention above?

I don't compose enough to make any sort of judgement such as that. I've used Finale a few times myself, but I haven't compared it to any others, so I can't really say. One of my old high school professors uses Sibelius religiously, but other people I know prefer Finale and Capella in the same manner. As for FL 9, I have never used it and know no one who has, so I can't give any feedback regarding that as well. I was just curious though because I do know well that Finale and Sibelius don't have very good instrument emulators as they are merely composing software, and I was impressed by how realistic the music sounded (I found it rather improbable that you had a full orchestra at your disposal, though you never do know when on the internet ).

Hehehe! Cheers Felipe. Aye, I haven't had the pleasure of performing (vocal soloist - baritone) with a full orchestra at my back since my days as a university undergraduate performing a Bach piece. I'm very pleased with the sound quality of most of the material provided by Magix in the two aforementioned software programs. There are some software stability issues now and again but I've learned some tricks to get around them when they lock up.

Ah, yes. As a physics undergrad I don't often get to perform anymore (I've been playing cello for the past eleven years), but I am fortunate in that I at least get to perform with the local county orchestra every winter and summer.
