I agree with what you say except for the claim about cheating. On two separate occasions Ashley specifically mentions that neither she nor Shepard, nor their status to each other, are the same as they were before Shepard's death. That's confirmation that they are not in a relationship the way they were in ME1. At best they are in a hiatus. At worst they are not together at all (death tends to have that effect on people in relationships).

Do you ever wonder what Liara did to her assistant when you completed her sidequest? *shiver* That's the straw that broke the camel's back for me and i just had to leaver her behind.  I dont even do that sidequest anymore on other playthroughts.

Considering neither Ashley nor Alenko knew about Liara's secret mission, I think it's obvious to say that time passed for them and move on. 2 years, for the love of Tali.



Liara is the only one that could just "wait for you". But then again, Asari are very "patient" and don't really care that much about being with someone rather than remember the time they spent with that person. There are exceptions, like the one on Illium, though.

It certainly sounds genuine yet it needn't automatically be proof that this is the story path BioWare will pursue with Liara in ME3. Given the branching story lines of the ME games it could just as easily be one potential story path BioWare thought of, recorded some voice work for and then decided to put on the shelf. Guess we'll find out in ME3. If Liara does become the new Shadow Broker, and barring she runs everything above board (which seems questionable given her existing slip to darker methods such as threatening a human with mind flaying and Asari commandos), I will consider her an enemy of my Paragon Shepard and deal with her as need be. If that means peacefully placing her under arrest, fine. If it means putting her down like a rabid dog then so be it.

P.S. A third alternative might be to persuade her to end up under the direct supervision of Alliance and/or Council authorities as an intelligence network.

If this information is as genuine as we are being led to beleive then I can say she would make a fine ally for my paragade shepard. I usually don't try to kill people unless I think they really deserve it (the krogan who comes to kill you on grunt's mission), it serves a purpose (morinth), or they ****** me off (jong in ME1)
If she turns on me or tries to hinder my own work, or if she becomes violent when we have the inevitable confrontation  between her myself and tali I'll have no choice but to put her down. with prejudice.

Depends on which standard of measurement you go by. I can easily tell the difference between the fresh-faced youth of Liara, the more adult visage of Aria to the more mature features of Samara and Benezia. The Asari do appear to have a high quality of "ageless"-ness to their features however.

Why? It was that or her assistant would probably eventually kill her.

But she didnt really tell you what happened too her.  It makes the imagination wonder how far Liara has fallen to get revenge.
