Actually, I think she's holding it with both hands.  The fingers are intertwined.

Yeah, I saw that after I had posted and I agree, it's the most likely explanation. Still, I haven't seen anybody mention it before.


Or the artist didn't pay attention (for whatever reason) to established Quarian physiology. If you look at Tali's left shoulder (the viewer's right side) it is curved inwards indicating that arm/hand is holding the Valentine's candy, yet her right shoulder and arm (the viewer's left side) runs diagonally along her body indicating that her hands are not interlocked as they would be too far apart. Conclusion: Artist failed to adhere to canonized physiology of Tali'Zorah and Quarians in general. Still a sweet picture though.
