ME3's ending:
*Shepard and Tali are onboard some frigate alone for some reason*

Tali: Shepard, Harbinger is preparing his dark energy beam! He's going to use it  destablize Sol, we have to destroy the beam emitter!

Shepard: This is bad...our weapons are still offline.

Tali: What are we going to do?

*Shepard thinks for a while, then looks at Tali, and smiles*

Shepard: I have a plan. Do you have antibiotics with you?

Tali: Of course, Quarians always keep some on them, but how's that going to help--

*Shepard interupts Tali by putting his hands on her helmet and removes her mask. He kisses her*

Shepard: Use them.

*Shepard then grabs Tali, and pushes her into a nearby escape pod, and seals the door*

Shepard: Goodbye, Tali. I love you.

*Tali pounds on the glass*

Tali: Shepard no! We can find another way!

*Shepard hits the eject button, and the escape pod flies away. He then precedes to fly the ship straight into the Reaper's dark energy weapon, destroying it with a huge explosion*

...

A while later everyone is abord the Normandy, Tali included, all sad and crying over Shepard's death. Until suddenly, EDI picks up a transmission from a nearby escape pod, and sensors show lifesigns aboard it. The escape pod is from the exact same frigate Shepard was on

------------------------

Yeah, it's cheesy and cliche as hell. And you know what? Not a single one of you won't have a huge grin at that point! :P

This just in; Tali actually has a crush on Zaeed and he's gonna dump you all for him, nobody can resist his manly trail of destruction

And he's gonna become only stronger with your rage because rage is a hell of an anesthetic

I would just have to respect her wishes.  I already know Zaeed is far more awesome that anyone else could ever hope to match.  I would just have to live with the memory that for a while she accepted a lesser man as worthy of her.

Thanks for dropping by.

Well Samara is sorta the opposite of that. Letting the lack of emotion to allow her to do things that most wouldnt normally consider an act of integrity. Like murdering a good cop for doing her job.

If you engage Samara in conversation she states that the code does not exist for moral enlightenment but as a means of punishing the wicked. She isn't oblivious to the criticism her code faces at the hands of moralistic dissenters yet she remains unapologetic for carrying out the very black-or-white teachings of the code. It is impressive in one regard while disturbing in another, IMO. Again though, if you speak to her at length it isn't that she doesn't have emotions nor is incapable of friendly discussions; her discipline does not remove these parts of her persona, it simply helps her override them. That is different from being devoid of understanding and knowing what compassion is for example, even if the physical end results may amount to much the same thing.

To punish the wicked yes. But the code dictates the same punishment no matter what the crime. death. furthermore the crux the becomes what is wickedness. Everyone is guilty to some extent. which would lead to universal genocide. Even the justicars themselves are not above reproach yet they do not commit suicide for thier own actions. which is hypocracy. another turn off.

i donot know the code for every line so i can not dispute these claims...however it could be that they view all crimes as equally offensive and therefor all deserving of the same consequence

also to argue about the code further wouldnt lead anywhere...it seems to be close to a religion if not one...and no one can fully understand a religion unless you take a look at it through their point of view

Well there's also the fact that Samara is intelligent.  A die trying, or doom the galaxy situation is kind of lose/lose :P

Good point, didn't think of that, fatigue starting to interfere with my thinking
For showing me my flawed logic you win a Tali pic :wizard:

Alright everyone agrees that Liara is a little darker in ME2 right and that we'd prefer her to be nice and friendly again right.

The policewoman is following orders (that aren't even unreasonable) and even Samara thinks, that this is stupid, but she has to do it because of the code.

I hope they don't, too, although they should make it forseeable.

Personally I think that the Rachni are a safe bet.  It is a reward for being able to look past the book's cover.  The Queen was never hostile to you, her story about why the Rachni went crazy seems to fit, and after talking to the Asari lady on Illium I knew it was the right choice.  The Rachni turning on you at this point would seem like random nonsense just for the sake of making a Paragon option go bad.

The Krogan choice, on the other hand, is a tougher one.  Giving the Krogan a cure for the genophage could VERY well have detrimental effects, even in the short term, and may keep Wrex from uniting the clans.  But it is also a morally difficult subject, to purposely keep them sterilized if you have the power to cure them.  I personally lean towards Renegade in that instance.

The Geth is a good point, as well.  The effects of allowing the Heretics to share their experiences with the greater Geth collective is uncertain.  Then again, knowing about how the influence of the Reapers works may be an important boon for the Geth in resisting its effects.  It is hard to say.

I agree with you on the rachni, they seem like the safest choice of all.

I don't really see the true geth changing based on your decision, they seem pretty set in their ways.  Sharing experiences shouldn't logically have the same effect as a virus.  I see it more as a situation where you may end up fighting the heretics again if they come to the same conclusion.

The genophage is a whole other discussion on its own.  Moral decisions aside, we're uninformed at this point whether it would actually be beneficial for the fight against the reapers.  I'm interested with how they approach the genophage in ME3.

i said she could construe it as such...and once again we cant discuss this further because since we are not actually members of the code we cannot hope to make sense of everything they do
