Depends on the situation. If you don't have any hope of winning, then I see no reason why you should throw away your young men in a pointless resistance.

It went better than it did for you Germans once the dust settled. A shame so many had to suffer because not enough people were willing to resist blind hatred, willful ignorance and aggressive militarism, etc. 

Perhaps if France and UK had act sooner a lot of misery could have been avoided, yes.

Well, the Danish didn't had that much luck with violence against us Germans. 
I'm just about to read something about the glorious Danish involvement in the Thirty Years Wars. 

That's true, then again the Germans arguably received the two greatest military whoopings in human military history.

While being outnumbered by what was it 2 or 3 to 1 fighting on two fronts simultaneosly and coincidentally not surrendering the moment the enemy army crosses the border.

They should have picked their enemies more carefully it seems. Certainly backstabbing your former ally and violating an established treaty as was the case during WWII between Hitler's Germany and Stalin's USSR is not something that elicits much sympathy on my behalf. That mess was self-inflicted. Reap what you sow.

As for surrendering the moment the enemy crosses your borders, aye, that was the Danish government's call at the time. Then again the outdated, outgunned and outnumbered Army we had back then would simply have been cut to ribbons, our one squadron Airforce at the time was all but destroyed and the Navy scuttled its own ships. The Danish Royal Guard did resist and fought the invading Germans until they were ordered by the King to stand down. That's the regiment I served in. Still, almost all of the Danish Jews were safely evacuated to Sweden. Of course, it is very convenient not to have any serious invading forces on your borders, eh Darth?
