That's not how I imagine Tali (read my fanfic to know what I prefer ... sorry, just couldn't stop myself from writing that ) , but looking at this picture, hell, looking at all the art posted in this thread makes me soooo jealous of other people's drawing/painting skills.

Ya, that's one of the best one made to date. Still its kinda dejavu, since I remember reading back either in version 1.0 and / or 2.0 how so many didn't want  Tali to look just as an "excotic human" (aka space elf) with or without the pointy ears.
Things got pretty heated back then too.

Of course I personaly thought that the Na'Vi (Avatar) model wasn't too bad and if they want that route with minor tweaks, they can't go far wrong.
Logically though, unless we know more about the kind of Star Rannoch had, as in type, size, radiation emittance, and more info on Rannoch itself, its hard to make an intelligent guess as to what she would look like, even assuming that she has more or less "human" features as hints from what we can see through the visor suggests. Then again, it might have been just a "place-holder" face that was used all this while and she'll look like nothing we'd expect.
But I hope a little more "science" then fiction is injected in to what Tali might look like, still, I'll hold on to the "space elf" theme ...more then probably might not happen, but part of the fun of being a romantic is holding onto a dream is it not?

I do not agree that her eyes "glow". Retro-reflective eyes (think of cats / when you shine a light at them)  most likely from the mask's HUD which makes really good scientific sense. They lived in starships out in space for so long, probably mostly in dimly lit spaces that over time their eyes evolved to be retro-reflective.

It might also be possible that there are some chemical compounds in her irises that, when exposed to light, are emitting some kind of radiation that fits itself inside OUR visible spectrum. OUR being the keyword here, because as far as we know every species might, and do, have different optical sensors. Thane convo is a good proof of that, as he says that he had to go through genetic-engineering to see hanar flashes that are visible to humans by default.

It might be that the radiation emitted by quarian eyes is only visible to us.

"It's just my opinion though, no need to go spreading it around" ^^

Of the 4 pics, Number 2 Eyes with Number 3's skin tone.

Number 3's skin has a more "translucent" look, which I would think skin constantly hidden behind a suit would look. Am not a fan of Glowy eyes syndrome though do think that she'll have "bright eyes".

Doesn't necessarily matter to me. In terms of personal preference, yea, I prefer humans. xD Though, when I did my FemShep run, I did Thane just because of how awesome he is.

I honestly don't see how she looks anything like Alyx

Apart from that, I'd definitely say it's alien. I can't quite say what it is, but she definitely has an alien look to her.

I understand you want Tali for her personality and loving hips/ass. But if you perfer a human, why not romance one?
To me, Asari are different because of their...   "hair" and skin color. Thats what makes them an alien.

I don't want to start a war thou, i don't hate the first picture, but i don't like it either.
