Too bad all the tattoos and scars get in the way, IMO. If Jack can truly make peace with her past and herself, she might actually make for a strong, spirited yet caring partner. Tali does seem far more stable and a safer bet in regards to such matters though.

I agree, Jack is also the most interesting "none ME1" character in my opinion and the only one that really makes a good transition due to Sheps behavior.

btw. I really like Jack as a character, very believable and touching imo - even without the romance. Of course she is the classic "hard top, soft core" type of person, but very well written. And her tatoos, I like them - but that's just because I like tatoos in general.

Well, in the pic where Tali is rolling around with Shepard on the bed in the Captain's Cabin it's on her outer left lower leg. Whether that will be the case in every pic of Tali is another matter.

Good question! IMO? Not sure, i mean of course after ME3 come out there will be a resurgence but i guess over time it'll die out (a longtime based of some peoples dedication!)

Everything dies eventually.  I'm sure initially there will be just as much support.  The thread support will probably fall at a similar rate to the rest of the forum.  Will always be the most popular topic, but months to years after the game is out, most, but not all people will move on.

thats a shame really. all this attention just so in the end, Tali and the rest be forgotten.

There's always DLC to talk about, Tali fanart to see, FF featuring Tali or ME in general, can discuss the books, too. There's also always someone who asks a question, be it hypothetical or not, that some haven't thought of. I think the Tali-fandom won't deteriorate, I think it could expand as new fans come in (and don't forget the ones that will convert from one LI *coughMirandacough* to Tali) and more people will become die hard fans instead of "one playthrough" types.

ME and Tali will live on, much like Tifa of final fantasy or Jill from RE :innocent:

im just going to prod here for a bit. Why would they remain? The relationship between Tali and Shep has succesfully met all expectations. As with all games, wouldn't poeple just move on?

Eh, the same reason that Star Wars fans and LoTR fans still exist even though the story has been told.  People like to re-watch and re-play in order to put themselves back in that place where their favorite character exists.  Hell, people here talk about dreaming of Tali.  People will continue to want to escape to go back and "be with" those characters that had the most impact for them.

I'm personally not as dedicated as all that -- I'll move on to another Bioware game   (even if I come back and re-play ME every once in a while).  But when Bioware does such a good job at creating living, breathing characters, there will always be people who don't want their time with them to end.

I can sympathize; I remember completing the Baldur's Gate "trilogy" (2 games + the expansion), and after having taken the same character through 3 games, traveling the land with Jaheira, Viconia, Minsc, Imoen, Aerie, and others, endless endearing dialogues and tumultuous romances, and literally traveling to the outer planes and the depths of hell for my companions, I was very sad when it all came to an end.  I chose to eschew God-hood to remain on the Prime with them, and reading all their epilogues was an incredibly bittersweet moment.  I honestly, really missed them, and some of those characters are still responsible for some of my most memorable, most emotional, and most loved moments in gaming.

Exactly, you need to think alot about the tatoo, it needs to have a personal meaning to you and shouldn't be something a plain mood released. And of course let the tatooer draw concept art which you can correct etc.pp. just to make sure it satisfies your wishes. That's how I did it :happy:

I think in time it will subside greatly as people are caught up in their daily lives and duties. Not to mention other interests will likely crop up from a myriad of other entertainment outlets. That is not to say that many people might not reflect fondly upon their first experiences with Tali and how they eventually were able to court her in-game, yet like a past love relationship that is no longer active it will fade gradually with time, likely only to have a select few cherished memories highlighted from time to time. Wistfully enjoyable yet no longer actuately relevant nor active.

This presumes that no new ME material is forthcoming after a certain amount of time in the future.

Yeah like I've stated before I fogot about the old saying "good things always come to an end".  Nonetheless thank you for your input.

I have a tattoo myself and I want more of it. thinking about the skull of Gears of war and ofcourse a Tali tattoo. But I don´t enjoy tattoos on women.

ok. lets just say for all intents and purposes, the ending (whatever you prefer would be a great ending for you jake) has met or exceeded your expectations. Would you go on with the fandom? Or would you move one and all of this  would just be nothing more than a thought back of mind?

I think most of the fandom will die away in a few months until shortly before the release of ME3, then it will peak again and mostly die away half a year after the release. I don't think ME will sustain a constant fan base like i.e. Star Wars, it is just not popular enough for that and games seem to "die" far quicker than movies.

Agreed.  Jack is very beautiful.  I don't find the ink or the shaved head attractive either, but that doesn't keep her from being a lovely girl.

And yes, her romance is very touching.  My second favorite romance, and almost on par with Tali's for emotional content.  Actually, the "love scene" is more emotional in Jack's case, IMO, but Tali overall has more emotional moments between her dialogues and her loyalty mission.
