I thought the same thing. I do feel a bit of kinship though considering I have a few of my own.

There has only been one time I seriously toyed with the idea of getting a tattoo. Back when I was a sophomore undergrad student I contemplated having a giant legendary Phoenix of old tattooed on my back with its wings spread upwards along my shoulder blades, so that when I moved my shoulder blades it would make the wings appear to move. Didn't do it though. 

I've become far more neutral towards tattoos over the past years yet it is not likely ever to be perceived as a "bonus" in any potential girlfriend/mate in my eyes. What other people whom aren't in a relationship with me and/or aren't my children do in regards to tattoos is their choice and their business.

I think most of the fandom will die away in a few months until shortly before the release of ME3, then it will peak again and mostly die away half a year after the release. I don't think ME will sustain a constant fan base like i.e. Star Wars, it is just not popular enough for that and games seem to "die" far quicker than movies. 

I'll repost what I said of why Tali will live on:

There's always DLC to talk about, Tali fanart to see, FF featuring Tali
or ME in general, can discuss the books, too. There's also always
someone who asks a question, be it hypothetical or not, that some
haven't thought of. I think the Tali-fandom won't deteriorate, I think
it could expand as new fans come in (and don't forget the ones that will
convert from one LI *coughMirandacough* to Tali) and more people will
become die hard fans instead of "one playthrough" types.

ME and
Tali will live on, much like Tifa of FF or Jill from RE. You don't have to make Star Wars to create an everlasting icon :innocent:
