Makes sense. The ME Wiki also likens the Quarian females headscarves to that of various Middle Eastern cultures.

Possibly, though I'm not convinced their belief structure relies as much on intangible celestial concepts as many of Earth's religions do. For example, before the Geth uprising the Quarians had a tradition of having the personalities of some of their ancestors downloaded in to AI constructs so they could continue conversing with them and perhaps have their knowledge and wisdom passed on directly to younger Quarians. Regardless, it seems clear that strongly religious or not it certainly hasn't impeded the Quarians interest in technology. Not even the Geth uprising has managed to stomp it out. That speaks volumes.

Yeah, the geth managed to kill the basis for their religion. That's pretty hardcore.

Liz does look extremely cute in some of her pictures. Bear in mind those are professionally taken still shots. The live impression may be even better (conversely in one of the brief recording video clips I saw of her she didn't look quite as good but that can be a side effect of the camera lens). Personally I'd prefer it if Tali looks different. Liz's nose just does not fit the admittedly very vague concept I have in my mind's eye of Tali.

Anyone know if this is official bioware concept art? It certainly looks like it. Tali's face looks really human in it. Obviously, it's just concept art, but it's pretty much identical to what her model ended up being in ME1.

I think her nose suits Tali pretty well...And also, I'm aware those shots of her are probably glamourized but it really doesn't concern me much. I don't take makeup and lighting into account when I find a woman attractive.The_KFD_Case wrote...

I'm convinced however, that no matter how she looks certain people will be displeased in the end. Everyone's got some sort of expectation, and expectations are even more vague than mental images, if her face is revealed there will be people that will feel let down.

I've always assumed the face was just to show how the mask fit.

Their religion is based on the actions of their ancestors so it's likely that they are calling upon the courage and skill of the ones that did them proud. Cursing you by calling you the name of someone that went down in history as an idiot and a traitor.
Just something I picked up after noticed the ' between Tali's name and the Quarian speech.

She was on the Normandy when it was attacked. You don't see her, but when you talk to Jacob at the start, he says something along the lines of "the non-human crew members, the asari, the quarian, etc. all got out"
So no, she hadn't returned to the Flotilla yet. I bet we all know why! <3

Tali remained on the Normandy long after Saren's defeat it actually took the Normandy to get destroyed to kick the poor girl off the ship.
Shepard had to ask Tali if her pilgrimage ended when she turned in her Geth data, so she didn't finish that until after the ship and Shepard were gone.

Personally I could care less if some people end up being displeased by Tali's look. Yes, I realise I could end up as one of those people. Tough break. I'd still rather dare and potentially be disappointed yet also potentially be pleased as opposed to not taking the chance at all and sit at home like grandma with her shields up. I don't have too many preconceived notions of what Tali actually looks like. I have a gut instinct that will know whether it feels like the face of Tali (providing we do get to see it) "clicks" or not. If BioWare do base Tali's face on Liz's I would prefer they make it much more exotic; ideally I'd rather they not do so at all however as I do not find Liz's face matches the physical presence and head proportions of Tali in-game.

Which is precisely what happened in Danish and Norwegian history. Quisling was the Norwegian politician who assisted the ****s during WWII. His name has since then become synonymous with being a coward and a traitor in those two countries. Possibly in Sweden as well.
P.S. A similar scenario occured with Benedict Arnold in the US though that was during the struggle for independence between the American colonies and the British crown.

Bioware likes to match the face to the actor. Miranda being one of the more imfamous ones. Check out Zaeed's VO as well shockingly close. Even good old Garrus has a few similar features to his VO.
It's just Bioware's thing lately.

I know which is why I brought up the possibility of extreme exotic-ness. While the voice actor for Samara has equally stunning eyes (different colour though), I do not think Samara and her look identical. There may be a faint commonality. But then again, male Shepard does not look anything like the voice actor but does look very much like the model his facial features are based upon, so it could go either way.
