One thing to think about whenever the Quarians mention Keelah'Selai and Bosh'Tet. That might have actually been a person's name.

Their religion is based on the actions of their ancestors so it's likely that they are calling upon the courage and skill of the ones that did them proud. Cursing you by calling you the name of someone that went down in history as an idiot and a traitor.

Just something I picked up after noticed the ' between Tali's name and the Quarian speech.

Which is precisely what happened in Danish and Norwegian history. Quisling was the Norwegian politician who assisted the ****s during WWII. His name has since then become synonymous with being a coward and a traitor in those two countries. Possibly in Sweden as well.

P.S. A similar scenario occured with Benedict Arnold in the US though that was during the struggle for independence between the American colonies and the British crown.

Interesting, I never knew where Quisling came from. Well now I know and maybe that really the deal behind Keelah'selai  is it then.

You sound like a guide sometime KFD...And yes it's a compliment.

ps: What did you think about the Jack vs Miranda part. (I know, I am annoying with it)
Do you think it was alright or I should have make them sing something worse than the barney's song?

If you turn in the evidence against Rael, there's a pretty good chance his name would go down as a house-hold word for something negative. :(

"Don't be a Rael, enable your weapon's safety when you're off duty!"

Which is exactly the wrong way to deal with something like that.

Only a Rael'zorah wouldn't look both ways before crossing a street!

You're right, that really makes turning in the evidence much harsher in retrospect. :o

Well, it probably doesn't help that when you remove the "q" and the first "i" in his name it actually spells out the word "usling" which loosely translates in to someone who is ignoble. This goes for both Danish and Norwegian - the two languages are strongly related due to Norway being under Danish rule for 300 years in the past.

I'm not sure what exactly became of Quisling though I imagine execution was the likely outcome. And that is one way to deal with a traitor. Not the only way, but it is a way. Personally I have little problem with what Quisling's name has turned in to though I do sympathize with any relatives he may have had and/or whom still survive. As with judgement we all do it to some extent, and I do not think it abhorrent provided that we each account for our biases going in to the judgement so that we may limit their influence and take the time to gain a thorough understanding of the issue(s) and data at hand before making a judgement. Likewise I think people would benefit from having the background knowledge of why a name or a word has the meaning it has (though it would likely be impractical for us to gain such for each and every single word we use).

I mean the whole "We did nothing, everything is his fault, we were just victims"-thing. It seems to be common in every other nation, even the Austrians do this.

It needs more than one guy, to keep a nation in check.

Thank you Revan! ^_^

I just read your updated fanfic and left a comment. I enjoyed it and I even found myself singing out parts of the terrible twosome's duo in different voice pitches while intoning their disgust.:D

Yes and no. In some instances more so than others. However, it is very easy to sit back and say, "Oh you unarmed, untrained civilians should have done more against the elite mountaineer corps of German troops and their panzer units!" Yes, uprisings have worked in some cases, yet in other cases they have been ruthlessly crushed where patience and the passage of time has secured long-term victory where short-term intense action may not have. It depends on the situation, IMO. In the case of Quisling, actively trying to bring a foreign occupying force to power in your home nation against the will of what one presumes was the majority of Norwegians does give him an inordinate amount of responsibility, IMO. Does he bear all of the responsibility? Possibly not; few individuals ever do yet this brings us in to the long lived debate as to whether it is the individual or the masses that change history? It is both and often they work in tandem. Sometimes you do end up with key figures at just the right (or wrong) time and place that seem to serve as the catalyst for much greater events. I would consider Bill Gates one such individual.

That's down to a matter of perspective and sense of ethnocentrism. Where I currently live this would be the "normal" time just as for you the time where you are at is the "normal" time. It's 11:13 zulu CET (Central European Time) in the time zone I reside in.

Lets see, too late for Britain, too early for Germany.....

I'm just saying that based on my preconception that most posters are american, it's 5am where I am for example.

Nope. Germany falls in the CET zone so it would be 11:18 a.m. there.

Created a facebook group for fans of MaleShep/Tali romance, not that facebook groups count for anything on Bioware's actual decisions, but if you feel like showing your support for Tali and for Talimance on facebook, here's the link, and check on the info section in the group about becoming an officer:

Ouuh! But if I do that without creating a new Facebook account then some of "y'all" will see my personal Facebook profile.....That won't do for now. I like the initiative though, PMA. :P

I don't even mean that. I mean, there were enough foreign soldiers to build whole SS-Units with them and surly there were enough people in all off those lands, who supported the ****s.

Well, and here I got us as far away from the topic-theme as possible.

Aye, but those SS units composed of foreign troops came from several countries including but not limited to Denmark, Norway, Hungary, etc. Many, if not most, of those outfits were sent to fight on the Eastern front. There were **** sympathizers in many occupied countries yet aside from the German speaking occupied countries it does appear that the majority of the people in those non-German speaking countries did not relish German occupation and thus rejected the ****s. I do not accept your claim.
