like =/= want to be in a relationship with.  Tali is a smart, nice, rational person.  There's no reason for Joker to dislike her.  And in ME2, when the ship is filled with random murderous psychos, it makes sense that Joker would feel the most comfortable around her.

As for Donnely, he never actually interacts with Tali I don't think.  He appreciates her figure, can't blame him there

If he really liked Tali he would have pulled the same thing he did in ME1 during an intimate moment. "Sorry to interrupt Commander..."

then on the mission reaper kills her, and Sheperd could do nothing to stop it.

Depends on various factors, such as what is the nature and status of Tali's and I relationship? Is it platonic? Is it on the verge of becoming romantic? Is it newly romantic? Is it a stable romantic relationship already? What does the person hitting on Tali seem to be like? How does she appear to be reacting to the attention? What seems like likely outcomes of the situation between the various participants (i.e. does Tali seem interested? Dismissive? Scared? Does the stranger seem creepy? Aggressive? Is he/she alone or backed up by a group of friends? etc.)?

Must you always over analyze KFD. fill in your own factors and answer.

I prefer too much analysis to too little. Much as with thinking.

Besides, I already have a fairly good sense of the different responses I might call up pending the answers to the various questions above.

Please humor me and write a few of them.

Not buy the game personally.  I'm going to try and walk the tightrope for ME3, finding out all the info about Tali, making sure she's a squadmate and a happy ending is possible, while trying to avoid other massive spoilers.

I managed to pull it off for ME2, how hard could it be to do again?

Was he alone for the entire time though?  On my last playthrough, I didn't talk to him before his loyalty mission opened, and I got some new dialogue from him that seemed to hint that his team that Sidnois got killed was with him before you get there on Omega.

He said something like he wasn't alone, he had 11 others with him, but he was betrayed.  Can anyone confirm this?

I'd have to go into the game to check this again, but I believe there's a bunch of covered bodies in the main room when you get into Garrus' hideout. He did have the team to help him out, but he was on his own for several days (if not more).
