I dont want to be rude but how come you lot were talking about the ****s?

It was historically related to the real world example of a person's name becoming synomymous with something undesirable (or desirable), which in turn sprung up from a theory that "Keelah se'lai" or "bosh'tet" might be names of Quarians known for good, or bad, deeds. It's all there if you take the time to read through the pages that deals with it.

I would love to see the gal who does tali's voice for another character in a game.....she is so damn good at tali i would love to hear her voice someone else.

Liz Sroka seems to be fairly small time, if acting is her full time career, then I imagine she does threatre groups.

this is off topic but did anyone else notice that the same person who plays Liara voices the lead in Final Fantasy 13....i thought it was odd listening to her and kept thinking of Liara.

Don't know. I stopped being interested in FFXIII a while back and thus have no intention of purchasing it anytime soon, if ever. Interesting bit of info though, so thanks for that.

12 was pretty terrible, can't say I expect much more from 13 and Jrpg's are just so flat compared to the good western rpgs.

Suprised she's a lead though, Liara doesn't go through a huge range of emotions so I just think of her in a supporting role.

Jrpg's dont change. They just recycle the plot with different stock characters. Instead of saving high school girls with your giant robot, it could be saving high school girls with your giant robot in space.

I find them funny.

They are often humorous, miserable little alien gnomes. Some seem nice enough (i.e. the used vehicle salesman though that is partly to be expected given his job, but still, personality often shines through in ones job behaviour), yet many have a "short man's syndrome" of wanting to appear more powerful and important than they may actually be. Eh, easy for me to say as a 6'2 ½" human being who isn't stuck in a pressurised space suit I suppose. :P

Lol how many times are we some new member of [insert elite organization here] off to save the world in western rpgs?

I don't mind if they recycle the plot. I mind if the story and chrs are bad.

Being argumentative doesn't make you a jerk.

Ahh! Delightful! Reminds me of three of my personal favourite quotes, also from a French philosopher.

"The problem with common sense is that it is not so common."

"Appreciation is a wonderful thing: It makes what is excellent in others belong to us as well."

"I have never made but one prayer to God, a very short one: "O Lord make my enemies ridiculous". And God granted it."

Courtesy of Voltaire.

P.S. Mark Twain is another gem, though not French, with such memorable quotes such as "In the first place, God made idiots. That was for practice. Then he made
school boards." Or "It's not the size of the dog in a fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog." :D Ahhh! I'm a sucker for wit. Guess that's one of the reasons Tali hits me so hard in so many places, in so many positive ways and all at once.

The volus are kinda cool but they're also ****s. I guess they epitomise ultra-capitalists which generally most people hate. I think they're a great creation even if they ****** me off haha.

No, you always ignore trolls. Unless you too are a troll, then your job is to usurp the original troll by either derailing the topic or redirecting the hate towards the original troll towards you by being even more obtuse then he is.

I used to Troll "professionally" at my old job.

(Lot of down time between assignments, nothing better to do then browse forums, getting paid to post means you can't lose an argument)
