No, you always ignore trolls. Unless you too are a troll, then your job is to usurp the original troll by either derailing the topic or redirecting the hate towards the original troll towards you by being even more obtuse then he is.

I used to Troll "professionally" at my old job.

(Lot of down time between assignments, nothing better to do then browse forums, getting paid to post means you can't lose an argument)

Eh. I have found some token amount of amusement at using hordes of online trolls for mental target practice. They come a dime a dozen and are often easily outmaneuvered in my experience. Let them get under your skin without being able to do the same in turn and things can quickly spiral out of control.

Well, this is the internet. Telling the difference between stupid and troll can often be challenging. I can't always tell the difference myself and I've lived here since it's conception nearly.
