There are indeed kids on this forum, some poster a while back said he was 11. Just because someone isn't 17 doesn't mean they cant get the game, just that they have to either pay a bum to buy it for them or have their parents buy it.
Parenting is always suspect in the video game industry, and it isnt hard to find bad parents.
Also, as the image Jake posted is removed in this quote chain I don't know whether it is ban worthy, I'll trust your judgement on that.
Not to mention that you have to be a certain age to be allowed on this forum officially (unofficially is another matter, even if that age limit is only 13 IIRC), and when dealing with ME2 you have to be 18 to buy it legally.
You don't have to be the legal age in order to enjoy Mass Effect though. There are a number of teenagers who are much more mature than their age tells them to be. While, yes, there are kids who buy this game for the sole reason to see "Miranda's boobies!" there are an equal, if not greater, number who know better than that. I take an objective approach to everything so I can appreciate things I wouldn't understand otherwise.

That's the spirit! Besides, there are other things to keep oneself occupied with. I've been feeling a growing desire to get back in to some heavy gaming sessions again lately. I have a backlog of some 40+ games to complete between my PC and Xbox 360 games libraries. Nevermind the games I've already completed and may yet play again.

Well, I don't have quite the same library of "unplayed" games; but yes, I have quite a few games and such I need to play again, as well as other things... And life's much too short to be worried over things such as being banned from an internet forum.

i dont think thats the spirit. at least in this case...if u get banned from something u should ask urself why u got banned and if it is a reasonable reason....if it is then you should abstain from doing it again and not find another way into the forumThe_KFD_Case wrote...

I agree that age need not be an absolute indicator of a person's
maturity (or lack thereof). That said, the longer a person has lived the
greater the chances that they've experienced things that have allowed
them to develop, evaluate, grow and mature in life. Also, from a purely
biological perspective a human brain is not fully developed until around
the age of 20 years. I have known at least one very mature and lovely
18 year old which proves to me that maturity in some matters is
not determined solely by age, however there were areas where it was easy
to forget she was 18 and hadn't yet experienced certain things because
she was so mature on many other fronts. In short: Yes, teenagers are
often immature on a great many areas though not always and certainly to
varying degrees of annoyance (or the reverse). Many will outgrow it.

I didn't mind. You gave proper warning and it was via a link thus no one was forced to see the image in question.
Nonetheless a warning was provided. An individual - barring certain mitigating circumstances - is not absolved of individual initiative and consequent responsibility. "Freedom under responsibility" as the officers and NCOs used to say to us in the Army.
