I don't want to get involved here, but you gotta agree on a couple things.  First of all, the game "Mass Effect 2" is an M rated game that itself contains profanity and sexual content.  While pornographic material is arguably rated "Ao" or "X" instead of "R" or "M",  in a forum that talks about such a game, you have to expect some adult content to pop up.

Secondly, this is the internet.  We should all know by now that while certain sites have rules prohibiting certain content, the internet as a whole does not.  Therefore any link at all could lead to offensive material, no matter if there is a sufficient warning or not.  I think anyone that clicks on an unknown link has to expect to a certain degree that there might be offensive material on the other end. 

Regardless of whether you felt yourself tricked or not sufficiently warned into looking at something offensive, smart internet surfing means thinking about and being careful with clicking something right when you see it, and that is every person's own responsibility.

As for dodging around that's all you. You keep trying to change the relevant items in this debate and I keep refusing to go for it which appears to frustrate you. I prefer to stick to the facts, thanks. The facts in this case are that there was clearly a warning label on the link. That you don't think it was a good enough warning is another matter. Please stop confusing the facts with your personal wants and desires. They are two separate things on this occasion.

depends on wat u mean by clearly...obviously not clear enough due to the fact that me and at least one other did not know wat the word pron meant...and this has been the point of my entire arguement...the warning was not good enought o give everyone the info they needed to make an informative decision of whether they should click on it or not....which is a rather obvious point due to the fact that we are having this discussion... also how does "tali blasphemy" equate to a clear warning????

And finally you seem to get the crux of the matter: Your personal want for something other than what was provided does not make it a negligient warning. A warning was provided. That you didn't understand it (although I saw you initially claim you didn't understand what "pron" - you left that part out, it was in the link's warning label. "Blasphemous Tali Pron....Click at own risk!" - was and then pages later you stated to another poster that you weren't the one that didn't understand what "pron" meant....) does not remove the responsibility of the decision making process you undertook from you.

What you are advocating is a nanny state system whereby you are essentially absolved of all responsibility and lets others have to do all the work for you. Incidentally, which part of "Click at your own risk" did you not comprehend? Furthemore, it is hugely selfish to make yourself the center of the measuring standard when others are involved as well. Considering that apparently the vast majority of posters in here at the time understood what "pron" referenced. Do you want to volunteer as the lowest common denominator (LCD)?
