Regardless of whether you felt yourself tricked or not sufficiently warned into looking at something offensive, smart internet surfing means thinking about and being careful with clicking something right when you see it, and that is every person's own responsibility.
Yes, it does. That's why I said "while certain sites have rules prohibiting certain content," meaning that this site prohibits it. I'm not saying that posting a link to pornographic material is right or that's it's not against the rules, but rules do not protect you completely. Stealing is illegal, people still do it. That's why you lock your doors and avoid carrying around large wads of cash. It's common sense: you have to expect bad content to be a click away on the internet.

You're missing my point. I'm not arguing with you that it's against the rules: I KNOW that putting pornographic content or links on here is against the rules. What I'm saying is that you can't assume rules are going to protect you 100%. You need to anticipate that they are going to be broken at some time, and if you are a very sensitive person that is easily offended by inappropriate pictures, you need to take it upon yourself to be careful when you click on an outside link, especially if statements like "click at your own risk" are applied to it. Like I said: stealing is illegal, but you still lock your doors.
