Yes, it does.  That's why I said "while certain sites have rules prohibiting certain content," meaning that this site prohibits it.  I'm not saying that posting a link to pornographic material is right or that's it's not against the rules, but rules do not protect you completely.  Stealing is illegal, people still do it.  That's why you lock your doors and avoid carrying around large wads of cash.  It's common sense: you have to expect bad content to be a click away on the internet.

If you think the internet is a safe place where people will always follow the rules, you might want to reconsider your perspective.  I don't know how long you have been talking on forums, but I'm sorry to say you're going to be shocked, offended, and disappointed many more times if you keep up that assumption.

Jake's initial link post took place on page 2972. You then commented that not everyone might know the meaning of "pron" which raises the question as to whether you actually were one of those people or not? If not then it runs contrary to one of your latter arguments.

Things steadily pick up from there.

On page 2975 you state the following:

"he didnt give sufficient warning...sufficient warning would have been
something to the effect of: picture cntaining pornographic
material.click at own risk... his obscure warning is horrible
considering not everyone is bothered by the same material. my warning
would have a better chance at not leading someone to be offended by the
material depicted"

Page 2975 of this thread.

Thus you placed the blame squarely on him and tried to assert your own wants/desires for what would be considered sufficient warning. Regardless, an explicit warning was provided.

2. if neither of us can provide sufficient evidence then this will never be more than a draw... and the fact that u think that it was a proper enough warning and i think the opposite is a matter of opinion... so neither of us is "wrong"

I see. So what you are saying is that I should have known what you were referring to because it has been established as common knowledge previously. That is the exact same logic that others have used when explaining the "pron" part of the warning in Jake's link. Isn't it wonderful when we are in agreement?

This isn't a draw, but if it makes you feel better in the morning feel free to pretend thus. If you want to avoid embarrassment such as this in the future I recommend sticking to the clear facts and carefully choosing your words once you have clearly thought through the argument you wish to pursue. Then stick with it. Flip flopping all over the place doesn't help.
