Their DNAs are made up from the same dextro-amino acids, but their DNA structures are entirely different. I honestly mean no offense, but did you take high school biology? The DNA of a monkey and a bird are made up of the same amino acids, but that does not mean that a monkey and a bird can mate. It all comes down to the quarians' and turians' chromosomes. Are you even attempting to be serious about anything? Einstein's Theory of General Relativity most certainly allows for FTL travel through various different theoretical means, wormholes being one of the more prominent ones. BioWare simply created an new idea that makes sense and lends itself to a good story.

If something took infinite energy then it would be considered by scientific standards to be impossible becuase there is no such thing as infinite energy within our realm of existance. But since the theory of relativity allows for such an event and it is considered pluasable within the realm of scientific standards of our reality then it can clearly not take an infinite amout of energy and thus that leads to the conclusion that

don't get me wrong, I like star trek as much as the next guy (unless the next guy doesnt like it then I like it more than the next guy)

but the science explained in Mass effect makes that of ST look like a doctor suess book. Bioware goes outa thier way to describe how everything works with in the real of known science, even the things that are out of that realm (like mass effect feilds) they explain using real physics. They may not get everything perfect but its more on a whole other lvl of  realismm compared to star treks - it works becuase the energy field blocks **** to stop an anti matter casscade from hitting our dilithium crystals.

They may explain using real physics but that again does not make it probable. I use ST as an example of when someone tries to lean to heavily on science, it gets boring...fast. The only ST I ever liked was TOS and a few of the movies not because they had good science but because they had good stories.

Star Trek NEVER  used real science, EVER. BW uses as much as possible in Mass Effect, and they have never sounded stupid. In fact, the vast majority of the things they say are entirely possible, and certainly more likely than anything that was ever presented in Star Trek. I love Star Trek, but the ME 'Verse is far richer scientifically.

And ToS sucked ****.

Thats not true, one time they explained why the doors open when you walk up to them. That was pretty realistic. I believe the explanation was that, stage hands stand inside the walls and when the character walk up to them they pull really hard on the door so that it slide open.

Taken from a how it was made documentary on Original Series.

Oh, yes this is indeed true. 
Actually, I think Star Trek did have a reasonable explanation for the automatic opening of doors, but it was also technology that had been around for a long time...

i need to audio samples for a song im gonna produce tomorrow, i usually theme the tracks around sci-fi so i thought mass effect. But i need samples to give it flavour, failed finding them though. any help would be nice

Unlikely. It would interfere with the spinal cord, the dorsal muscle wall, the diaphragm, or vital organs near the back like the kidneys and spleen.  The umbilical cord needs to connect to the central circulation (via the inferior vena cava in humans and similar mammals), so locationally it makes a lot more sense for it to go through the abdomen rather than the back.

Again, who knows with crazy made-up aliens, but if they look that much like humans, I'm guessing they're going to be structured very similar.

That's what I'm starting to think. She's already compatable for.. certain activities. 

Well as far as I know, most marsupials have their nipples inside their pouches so their babies can sit in there, keep warm and eat.  So I think any mammal with breasts is also a placental mammal, therefore it would make sense for Quarians to have a placenta and also have belly buttons because they have breasts.  And yes: having breasts to feed a baby implies live birth, which requires a vagina, so we know that that part is equivalent.
