Since I haven't posted a pic in a while...

This was my absolute favorite piece of Mass Effect fan art.  Someone took the artist's original picture and resized it so it would make a suitable desk top background.  I'll post it here in case anyone wants to use it for that purpose.



And for those of you who haven't seen this one before, I'm sure you'll enjoy the placement of Tali:lol:

I actually really dislike this because whoever did it didn't do a good job of blending the two backgrounds. 

Sure, there's a little bit of fuzziness between the added parts and the original, but I don't think it offsets the coolness of having this picture as a background.  If it really bothered you, you could just black out all the added stars in paint and just make the original a centerpiece.  Wouldn't be that hard.

The editor also used the small version of the pic, and I have a rather high screen resolution, so it doesn't look good anyway.

I'm not really sure I have sufficient skill to do something actualy good looking, I have the theory mastered, I also consider myself able in drawing... but doing anything decent in the matter of modelling/sculpture will probobly take months to master lol.

Also, most likely, even if I manage to make something looking any better than the official ME2 figures, I probobly wouldn't be able to sell my works due to copywrights.

Are you 18?  You can still get a debit or a credit card and set up a PayPal account.  Living with one's parents doesn't prevent that.

Well yeah, but you need to pay at the end of each month.

Not usually these days.  Most credit cards allow you to go online and pay off the balance immediately after you make a purchase.  if you do that, you don't have to pay interest.  If you get a checking account and a debit card, you don't make any payments: any purchase you make comes straight out of your account.  You can usually opt to get all bank statements by email and none by paper mail, if you are concerned with your parents checkingyour mail for whatever reason.  All you gotta do is walk into a bank and ask them to set up a checking account: they'll lead you through all of this.  It's very easy, much easier than understanding the plot and setting of Mass Effect.

Xenosaga is such a kick ass series. I only played the first one, and only part of it, but it was still frakking sweet.

Aye I loved them. Second favorite game series after ME. KOS-MOS is second favorite game babe after Tali. xenosaga 2 wasnt quite as good as one but they recaptured the awesome in 3. Graphics look a bit dated now, but its still a great game if you like old school rpgs.

I used umodel (unreal engine model extractor and put it into 3DS max, and then from Max to Maya. Living at an Art School helps so much...

I'm going to have to re combine her mesh though... if not practicaly remake it. most of the edges are unattached so when I take it into zbrush I can't subdivide.

So i think I'm going to remake the mesh... and I kinda wanted too anyway, cause then I could use maybe a cloth sim for the cowel.

or you could just get a debit card. work like a credit card but just deducts the money from you bank account. no interest or hassle. most banks offer them free w/ your checking account. unless they suck.
