As I am getting back into actually modeling there is no way I'll be able to
keep up with this thread for a while, so if anyone wants more information
(like the maya or max importable files) send me a message
and I'll get back to you next time I'm on the forums.

what's the point of a battle of wits over historial figures and nations ..... when you're both on the internet with full access to numerous primary/secondary/tertiary sources:huh: wouldn't it be a lot easier to just do this:

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. No wonder her face looks so chubby. Wait a minute... why would the Quarians let her on board with hair and skin uncovered: hundreds of thousands of microbes and dead, allergy-inducing epithelial cells sloughing off as she carelessly walks around their ship, lol

Sometimes you have to put some money down to open a checking account: my bank did, but I've only applied at one (defunct Washington Mutual) so I'm not sure what other banks do.
If you don't want to join the Air Force, don't do it. After you're 18, your parents can't request sh*t of you because you're a legal adult. Find a job, get an appartment, and go to college for a career you'd enjoy.
Student aid along with even a small part-time job can pay for school and an apartment with a roomie, or maybe a shared house. It's what I'm doing (actually no job, my major doesn't leave me the time, but I still scrape by). Just gotta apply!
I applied at the gay ass college here becuase Mom said it was either that, or I was going to be kicked out the door. But I failed at what I applied in (Accounting) and withdrew from all my classes. Now in april, I have to find some way to pay off my fines. Doesnt help over half of my money was given to her to pay for 'gas' and other ****.
I wish you good luck friend. Im sort of in the same situation as you. Im thinking about heading back into the military.

I dunno about that, really. They make it pretty easy to see her profile in ME2, which wasn't the case in ME1. I think they were clearly giving us a small peek, just not details. It would have been easy to obscure her face almost completely.Geth Hunter Alpha wrote...

Oh and deleted the face plate... Soooooooo Here is a look at her unmodeled Bioware canon face. I am intending to use it as a starting point but I am aiming for vespaz's version in the end.
Fun fun times!
ya know... the placeholder looks... pretty human...
though I'd like to see a slightly alien Tali, I can see them making her closely resemble a human in order to give her some great emotion and expression in ME3. just my theory though.
Its a placeholder so it doesnt really mean anything. Twas never even meant to be seen.
Though I was firmly in the alien-Tali camp before, I think that giving her a very human face would be alright as long as there are a few distinctive details, and perhaps if other parts of her upper half were more alien in structure. For instance they appear to have slightly elongated necks, and I wonder if the profile of the Geth's heads are supposed to be somewhat evocative of Quarian neck / head anatomy, or if that was simply a design choice strictly for the Geth?

Was only half paying attention to this. As someone who has served in his country's armed forces I can only reiterate what 1490 stated: If you do not want to serve and there is no draft in effect then NO ONE can, nor should, force you to serve. Only serve if that is what YOU want.
Personally I volunteered and got everything out of the experience that I had hoped for, but it was my decision. No one elses. Btw, it's not uncommon to feel nervous shortly before shipping off to basic training/boot camp, etc. and there may well be times where you will question what exactly made you sign-up. Still, if you already know now that you do not want to sign up with the military straight away then why not wait a few years? Good luck with whichever decision you reach on the matter.

Anyone is free to be here). I prefer peace, yet when pushed I will push back and at that point I subscribe to the school of thought that if you are going to fight then fight to win.
What is the strategic situation? What strike and defensive capabilities do my forces possess? What of the enemy's capabilities? Any relevant intel sources, if so what are the incoming reports indicating?
Also, does an open state of war already exist or is it a case of being hostilely inclined towards one another without any shots fired yet?

I agree that the drawing is amazing, but I'd like to see something that makes it at least a little bit alien, otherwise she could easily pass as a human to people who have never seen her in the game. I think the Quarians need to be a little more different than humans besides having six fingers and toes.

KFD, short version of the point I was going to make is that after a while the debate you were having ceased to be about the topic at hand and became more about your pride. You couldn't let it go even after it was clear you had already won.
Your goals, while noble, took a back seat to being right. You claimed in your PM to me that you were fighting a troll, yet it appeared to me that you failed to realize you yourself had become a troll as well, by feeding into his arrogance.
So I feel I should remind you of two rules:
RULE 11: ALL YOUR CAREFULLY PICKED ARGUEMENTS CAN EASILY BE IGNORED. (his main tactic against you)
RULE 14: DO NOT ARGUE WITH TROLLS. IT MEANS THEY WIN. (your main folly in this arguement)
And that's all.
Keelah Se'lai everyone
Keep kicking ass.
