Byzantium Empire. Started by the Roman Constantine (hence "Constantinople" which is today known as "Istanbul") who claimed to have had a vision from God to establish an empire. Long story short: Much success for a long time. Became the second half of the split Roman Empire. Very rich - coveted by other powers. Eventually failed to be able to defend what it had and fell to the invading Turkomans.

P.S. Infamous for court intrigues.

You forgot the 4th crusade the Latin conquest of Constantinople and the final battle against the Ottomans in 1453. and the court intrigues are a misnomer Byzantium had no more or less internal trouble than any of her neigbors.

yes! yes they were, i hardly watch TV now(unless i pop in an old recorded episode on VCR) because of the strange and horrible shows they have now(i dont like sitcoms, or basically anyother kind of show...)...now that i think of it, TV sucks now adays.

Not really. It was something to do amongst the other posts I respond to as and when my interest is piqued. Besides, your initial stated objective of aiding the other fellow was unsuccessful since he left before your plan could be fully implemented (and had it been on time I would likely either have focused on both of you or ignored you in order to finish him off first).

You're an adult, man: it's time to take responsibility for your own life.  So what if your mom kicks you out - you don't seem to be very happy there anyway.  Just get a job, find an apartment, and make your own way in life.  I know you probably have a certain deal of respect for what your mom wants, but this is your life, not hers.  Sometimes you gotta stand up with for yourself and disagree with your parents when you know what they want you do is wrong.  It's gonna be hard to make it on your own at first, but you're going to have to do it some time anyway.

KFD, short version of the point I was going to make is that after a while the debate you were having ceased to be about the topic at hand and became more about your pride. You couldn't let it go even after it was clear you had already won.

Your goals, while noble, took a back seat to being right. You claimed in your PM to me that you were fighting a troll, yet it appeared to me that you failed to realize you yourself had become a troll as well, by feeding into his arrogance.
So I feel I should remind you of two rules:

I can. Tali stays with me. Always. Except for when I have to talk to Liara for the first time.
Tali dosen't need to see that. . .
