That is a frakking Understandment. Also, if I wasn't clear,
I meant one of the Party member Characters. So...yeah.
No spoilers. But I'm still so pissed I can't go anywhere near
the game right now...and it happened AWHILE ago.

I'm going to get DA:A and all, but I have to say, I'm disappointed that they didn't bring more characters back.  I know that at the end of DA:O several of the characters leave -- Wynne, Shale, Sten, Morrigan -- so most of them couldn't return.   Leliana, though, was a very likeable character and an LI who expressed interest in staying with the Grey Warden, and Zevran is an LI who expresses a desire to stick around for a character of either sex.  Dropping character romances like a rock doesn't really sit well with me at all.  It's okay if they do it in-story, and meaningfully -- I liked Morrigans romance even though it was doomed -- but here it seems so arbitrary.

Pfeh.. I dunno, I'm sure I'll play it and like it, but it kind of tones down the excitement level for me

Don't worry. I romanced Leli too. And, I can tell you...well, just that
she's not out of your life. NO SPOILERS! However...dealing with the
LI's was something Bioware did right for Awakening. They don't leave
you twisting in the wind. So, no worries there.

I am curious Talimancers....I would think most of us would prefer Leliana in DA:O as a LI considering how much we love Tali and the cuteness between the to of them can make you crap rainbows.

I'm just wondering how they're going to justify all of these companions leaving.

Personally, I'm probably less affected by the lack of romance in Awakenings since I only liked Morrigan's (even then, it was like rather than love) romance and I already know it's doomed anyway - she ran either without child or with that demi-god child that will conquer us all.

Whatever you do, DO NOT choose to be the bloody hero and choose to sacrifice yourself if you romanced her.
While others might not agree with my intrepetation of what happens after you are gone, it broke my heart and I really felt bad running off and getting myself killed.
That's what Alister is for.
Or Morrigan. Personally, I'd take "Morrigan's way out" and while its a "small" betrayal in regards to Lelianna, its a matter of choosing a small evil to prevent a much bigger one from  happening after.
