No official confirmation, but my second save file(which had less codex from ME1 filled in), found more entries in ME2 than my other one...

Okay, thank you. I'll just ignore the codex for my ME1 playthrough then, my sanity will be pleased. Or, what's left of it by the time I'm done.

I don't think K-fed's intentions are all that honest either.. 

Hey. A good rule of thumb to remember is not to push if there's nothing to push....Of course, sometimes there is some doubt as to which way the wind blows.

Geth can quite literally build more geth in a short amount of time when the need arises. Looking back on an unfortunate but accurate happening in the past, the Alera: The geth that overtook the ship built more of themselves after taking control of the place, easily making more then amount previously guesstimated by the admirals.

They guessed between 10 to 50 Heretics on the research vessel. I didn't count them but I got the impression there were definitely more than 10 but possibly less than 50. They do appear to be able to replicate quickly given the right resources.

P.S. Am I the only one not impressed by the Quarian marines performance on that mission? Given the confined parameters of the mission objective it should "simply" be a matter of the butcher's bill before you wear the Geth down presuming they have weaponry that can destroy Geth (which they do). Poor martial showing there by the Quarians....Or perhaps they are less willing to sacrifice life given their more precarious situation. Guess the question comes down to whether a full scale research ship is deemed more valuable than several dozen marines' lives. Short term vs. long term.

War is cold indeed. From what I have seen the Quarian's don't do all that well against the Geth. The war for their home was lost and when you see them on Tali's loyalty mission they get whipped out like nothing. We don't even want to talk about what happened on Freedom's Progress. As techs they are unmatched but as warriors I don't really know. They don't have the numbers to really sacrifice anyone since they are now a race only in the millions. Besides killing the bodies of Geth while the hub in that area is still active is useless.  Ships on the other hand may not be that much of an issue as long as the lives can be saved. They do have the largest fleet in the MEU.

yea... the doubt in KFD and Moth's cases is whether the wind blows to the right or the left after that soap comment....
