Perhaps no one, or another beloved character like Garrus or Liara or Thane. I wish there were more tough decisions in ME2, it doesn't feel like a suicide mission when it's so easy to get everyone out alive and well.

But...but I want my happy ending on Rannoch :crying:

Good story telling is often tragic... Just saying to this whole thread, be prepared for things to not go as well with Tali as you planned, look at Kaiden and Ashley. I'm fairly certain Tali would choose the Flotilla and future of the quarian people over Shepard without hesitation.

While I agree with you on the tragic part, all signs at the end of ME2 indicate that won't be the case:

- We may be able to unite the Geth and Quarian people, and in doing so reclaim Rannoch
- Unless Shepard gets killed off again, I don't anticipate anything like the Ashley/Kaiden reunion; Tali has no reason to leave him and end the relationship, so far as we know.

We shall see.

There are discussions taking place as to her viability as an admiral and we all know how strong her devotion to the fleet is. I don't pretend to be a writer but I've heard the old adage "Never reveal a gun in Act 1 that won't be used in Act 2" enough times for me to think Bioware might be planning something much to the chagrin of Tali fans.

A good point, but I remember her saying (several times) that she has absolutely no interest in getting involved with Quarian poltics.  That's also assuming Tali wasn't exiled.

Really though, I have no idea how Bioware will handle things.  Ideally, there'd be the possibility of a 100% perfect happy ending along with the possibilities for tragic endings as well.  The happy ending would be difficult to achieve but the reward would be all the sweeter if you accomplished it.

Then again, I'm one of those people who will be hugely disappointed if Bioware scraps all our ME2 squaddies in favor of introducing brand new ones <_<

Tali is dedicated to her people, but she wouldn't do anything for them. You may go huh? But put into perspective of the trial. She asks Shepard to outright lie about what they found on the Alarei. She's dedicated to her people, not the government. As JeanLuc said - she's not much of a politics person either.

JeanLuc, I don't want the happy ending for Tali to be difficult to achieve. I wouldn't mind working for it, but it shouldn't require me to look in a walkthrough or get the best ending in the second playthrough and not the worst. Ideally, the possible endings for the tali romance would be breaking up, her or shepard possibly dying, or a happy ending. A happy ending does not exclude bumps in the road - I'm all for ups and downs, but we shouldn't be punished for having an LI.

I love how Tali's breasts have that nice, cupped and supported look.

Looks like i have to repeat myself again. All i want for Tali and Shep is a happy ending, i don't care if it's a lot harder to achieve than the others, damn i'll even like the challenge. Also i don't believe Bioware won't give us an option for a happy ending - they always have so no reason to change now

I agree Rakia - except that it should not be hard to achieve it. I shouldn't have to cheat and go into a walkthrough to get a happy ending the first time around. I don't mind having to do a few missions, but I would to have to metagame or wait until a second playthrough to get a good ending. It would just be un-tasteful writing.

Well i'm not talking about something extremely hard to do, maybe something like the loyalty missions - you can have fun but you're not forced to complete them.

So basically if you want to get to the end fast you're screwed but if you do everything right you get a good ending. Takes more time and it's harder to achieve but the reward is worth it

As long as it's not brain surgery to do it. I'm fine if it would something like the Normandy Upgrades - you need work for them, but it's obvious that you need to do them for the best ending.

I love this time of day because the perverse and immature are asleep. If only the thread was like this all the time.
