I really think that if geth wins, which they would in the traditional sense, they'd still lose.  If only because they proved themselves a threat to organics.  The Council may not give a crap about the quarians, but I'm willing to bet they'd use it as an excuse for a permanent stance of hostility to geth.

You know, that is what I was thinking of, that regardless of whether Shepard is Paragon or Renegade, it is feasible for him to "effect" a "win" for the Quarians without the Quarians taking any real casulties.

Paragon Shepard will broker a peace, while Renegade Shep will go ahead of the Quarian fleet, with Tali of course because she asked him to, and together they'll blow the Geth central network core to hell or do enough damage by releasing a rookit virus that the geth will have no protection from and the Quarian fleet arrives to mop up "helpless" Geth.
Either way, Shepard and by extention, Tali and the Quarian people "win".

Agreed.  Besides peace means that Tali gets a home on her homeworld.  Without peace this may not be possible in her lifetime...or ever.

Your options are too different.  Paragon/Renegade branches are usually much smaller.  I'm seeing something more along the lines of Admiral Xen trying to take control of the geth, and Shep's actions either:
Paragon: show good faith on the part of the quarians, beginning the peace process.
or
Renegade: take control of the geth, or hold the threat of viral control over their flashlight heads or something.
