So, yeah, just checking in and, low and behold, the forum is aflame with talk
about this Romance pack. Truth be told, it's so all over the place that most if
not all of the details from the Kotaku post are lost. However, I managed to get
the bullet points. Honestly, I think it's something to look forward too. But, there
is something I feel some of us should think about.
If they go through with this, I think we Talimancers should expect a very real
chance that there will not be anything for us. If they do go through with this
it will likely be to address all the complaints that people had concerning thier
respective ME1 LIs. Fact of the matter is, for those that were pinning for Ash,
Liara, or Kaiden, those people got the shaft. Both Human LIs basically tell Shep
to go frakk himself/herself, then send you a somewhat apologetic/non-apologetic
e-mail. And Liara has turned into Frank Castle. That's all they got. As such, a
Romance pack would likely add the chance for those poor YOBs to get some more
face time with thier respective ME1 LIs. Maybe a mission where they get stranded
together or something, have a chance to clear the air, more than likely make love,
then go thier seperate ways until the events in ME3 bring them back together.
Now, as for us, well, we Talimancers got Tali. All the way, minus seeing her face.
So, there really isn't much more that they can do that will not be covered in ME3.
As long as I get the chance to bring peace between her people and the Geth, and
make sure Tali gets her House on Rannoch I will be happy. Things like another big
Love making scene and Marriage would only be icing on the Tali-Cake.
BS lol there's no reason they can't give us something. I know what you mean, and that ME3 hopefully will have all the Tali we need, but what I just said is ridiculous, MORE TALI! MOOOOOAARRR!
Acutally, no, it's not BS. Not when you think about it. There's almost a cetainty that
we'll get more Squadmate based special missions, one including Tali. However,
there really isn't any Story based incentive for them to give us Tali Romance content.
Remember, this isn't Fan Fiction. They won't give us a, "Take Tali to dinner," DLC.
And given that most important Romance elements were covered in ME2, there is
not much of a reason to throw Tali or any of the ME2 LIs into the Romance Pack.
Even if Bioware just wanted to make some money, they could just as easily make
some providing us with a Tali Mission DLC that has nothing to do with the Romance
DLC. I still say it's likely just going to be for those poor suckers who got shafted.
