Tut tut. You are effectively bad mouthing centuries of proud military and cultural tradition. Take for instance the Royal Guard regiment I served in: It celebrates it's 352nd anniversay later this year. That's quite a bit older than your native country of the United States.

twas talkin bout the name not the military in general, or his country. I respect people willing to serve thier country, (for the most part).

I comprehend your point of view, however a name of a unit is part of its military identity. While it may be an arguably superfluous psychological aspect of it, the same way one could make a similar argument regarding people taking pride in their names and country of birth (people don't get to choose either unless they legally change them later on in life after all), it nonetheless bears considerable symbolic weight and importance to many people.

Centuries is right, we've had an excellent fighting record since the Second Boer War:D (I would mention the War of 1812 but we were still a colony:D)

Though it wasn't until Tali's adorable babbling after her loyalty mission in which I knew for a fact it was going to happen.
