Yes it would.
Am hoping that they will include all LIs, not just Mirranda or Tali but for everyone else. Perhaps even "repair" some of the damage done in ME2 with Liarra and Ashely. Kinda bridge the LIs and prep them for ME3.

with the fan reaction to the new LIs being mostly positive, and that many people either didn't cheat... or didn't have a ME1 LI *points to self*, I would imagine that Bioware might actually want to fill in the story of these new LI options to make them on par with the ME1 options--as currently they are at the disadvantage of being both shorter in duration, and having somewhat less backstory (except for Tali and/or Garrus). It would be interesting to see how the relationships evolve (for both ME1 and 2 LIs) before the story shifts to the final battle.

I was unsure about taking him along at first... it just felt, wrong and disrespectful. 

But I ended up really enjoying it. I think it added to the mission somewhat. Hearing the admirals comment on Legion and all that.
