Doesn't matter if the thread's going fast or slow, posting things like that is easily viewed as "bumping", soemthing the mods really crack down on. Don't do it, if you can't think of any content for a post, then don't post.

I find it hard to imagine they won't include Tali in Mass Effect 3, or that she won't be playable.

Provided you kept her alive in Mass Effect 2. Its amazing how a few alternatives scenes during key events can give such a vast impression of difference.

Tali fans need to stop throwing down the gauntlet though. For example, everybody who wants to see what she looks like underneath the mask might get their wish in a Luke/Darth Vader style death scene.

Stop-throwing-down-the-gauntlet nothing! I will not be happy until I get a full and unrushed Tali face reveal. This is not the time for timidity nor hesitation! Press onwards!

Speaking of face reveals, here's a link to an interesting take on what Kal'Reegar may look like. This is one of the closest approximations towards what I think the Quarians may look like (minus the ears and I'm not sure about how much hair, if any, they have).

Well, the best result I achieved was to not make the url appear in the sig. Still, no banner. Any other ideas what I'm doing wrong? Thanks for help.

Edit: scratch that. You can see what it does...

You're using HTML code, if you're putting a url in do [*url=(Actual URL here](Your text here)[*/url]

images are: [*img](Image address)[*/img]

Without asterix of course.

I love Tali, but I don't understand the usefulness of this thread. Not including Tali in Mass Effect 3 if she survives Mass Effect 2 wouldn't make much storytelling sense. In fact, it undermines one of Bioware's most cherished values as game producer, which is that they can make immersive, character-driven  RPGs in which characters can die at some point, and yet, in a different version of events, show up and still seem indispensible to the plot and action, to the point the thought of them dying in some way beforehand doesn't make sense.

Liara, Kaiden/Ashely, Wrex sidelined. Poor reaction. Prefer Tali not sidelined. Unable to develope relationship. Do not wish similar fate for Tali.

Well, yeah, but including Wrex wouldn't have made sense given his character's position on Krogan issues in Mass Effect 1; he had other work to do.

Liara and Kaiden/Ashley had to be sidelined because Bioware is planning for romances cultivated in earlier games to play a bigger role in Mass Effect 3 than in previous titles; there would have been too many pacing problems with placing old romances beside new ones in Mass Effect 2. I imagine the romances of Mass Effect 1 and 2 will have even footing in Mass Effect 3.

Hello everybody,
as soon as I saw this thread and the initiative, I knew I had to chime in and add a little support for this very noble and thoroughly important cause. If we keep this up long enough, Bioware won't be able to resist our wishes :)
Like everyone in this thread, I love Tali  and would be heartbroken if my Shepard couldn't pursue his feelings toward her further in ME3. It's also great to find a place where I don't feel like a weirdo/nerd for thinking about her like I do.

Understandably (I hope) I couldn't take the time to read through the 300+ pages and I hope you don't mind me barging like this. I did at least read the last 5 pages or so and I was delighted by the way your community is friendly, free-spirited and warm. The pics, jokes and general tone of your posts are very welcoming and heartwarming, keep the positivity up! This is truly a thread after Tali's heart.

I also have a couple of questions for you, fellow Tali-worshippers.
First, I wanted to put one of the "I support Tali in ME3" banners into my signature to show my allegiance. I followed the instructions given in post #1 of this thread, but not one bosh'tet would work for me. All it ever did was put the url into the sig. Anyone has an idea what might help? Like downloading, then uploading the pic or something like that?
Second, would it be considered weird or offensive if I used Tali as my avatar, even though I'm a guy?

I hope quarians and true geth are able to work out their past peacefully in ME3, and not just because of the Reaper threat. Quarians are a beautiful people, for Tali even more so, and deserve better than galaxy-wide loathing and a pointless war. Shepard should speak for them to the Council!

Thanks for creating this initiative and keeping it alive.
Keelah se'lai.

Aardvark

Welcome Aardvark!

No worries about not reading all 300+ pages. We had 1,1150 pages in the previous thread and in the thread before that one we had 380 pages. :D

Regaring the signature banners, simply copying the image and then placing it in your sig box under your profile options should do the trick.

As for whether it's okay for you to use an avatar of Tali because you're a guy, really that's nobody's business but your own. There are many guys in here ranging from teenagers to full adult men who are using female avatars. I'm an adult male and I am not ashamed of having the avatar of one hot, sophisticated and deadly Asari justicar. Be yourself and try not to worry too much about what other people think of you when your actions aren't directly hurting them is  my advice. :)

This is how i did mine

1) right click on banner you want
2) click "copy image location"
3) go to forum settings
4) under sig type [img]
5) press ctrl+v
6) type to close the brackets.

Then we shall reply to Bioware in a Darth Vader/Emperor Palpatine style "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" scene.

That's okay. You aren't required to "understand the usefulness of this thread". We post here because we want to show our ongoing support for Tali, because we hope to see her reappear in ME3 as a fully recruitable and romanceable character (which I personally think is highly likely for a number of reasons, some of which you have already touched upon), and also because this has become a gathering place for many different individuals from different countries who share a similar interest in Tali and can discuss it  (and lots of other things too) here without clogging up the BioWare forum with numerous redundant threads. It also makes it nice and easy to quickly shut out trolls and other lame llamas that suffer from a case of sour grapes. As a community we're generally fairly easy going and tolerant.
