I found it just a couple of days ago and saved it to my USB, almost forgot about 'til now.

It's a Geth Stalker! Kill it!
But seriously, super-cute

Disgustingly cute... but still awesome :wizard:

No they can't and you should have learned that in even the most basic biology classes in schoolImage IPB

hey now, chill. Maybe he didn't take biology, I only know this because the question has been raised a few times on this thread.
leave him alone, it's a fair question.

I haven't taken a biology class (yet, will next year... hopefully) and I know it's unlikely if not impossible...

But if it were to happen somehow I don't think it would be "viable" offspring.

It's possible from a video game standpoint regardless of whether or not it would be possible in a real world scenario.  If Bioware wants it to happen, they have the magic wand.

That said, I can't see kids ever entering the equation in the ME trilogy, and if they were, adoption is far superior to some genetic experiment that would likely face extreme problems, and likely not live very long, if it was even possible to create.

Doesn't this pic just take the shape of the placeholder face and add in detail?  If so, depending on how much credence you give to placeholder faces, it could end up being close, at least shape wise.

While placeholders aren't the be all end all, Bioware did purposely give us something to see (making the visor completely not see through wouldn't have been hard,) they're likely to mean something in the end.  Everything we know tends to lean towards an appearance similar to this.  Anything is possible of course, but until I see a better picture, I'm going with this one.

Honestly, have not found picture that would like to be Tali's face. Will say this picture comes close, but do not feel is right. Just opinion, of course. But to date, have not found picture that like enough.

This is actually my favourite version of Tali's face, veins or not she still looks really cute to me.Image IPB

Ohh, OK, I see the veins now, but I don’t think they’re veins, if you look closely they correspond to the implant she appears to have in her forehead.

Nope - author of the render, vespaz, confirmed that those are veins, not implants.

I don't know what you're talking about!! I don't see any vains, I see some weird thing on her cheek, and a lot of dirt on her mask...

My opinion: Very pretty and well done, but it's not Tali.

Have read mind, Jenkins.

Concur. Highly unlikely. If is possible, would be hard to do.

It's possible, read FanFic

Can give link? Would appreciate.

Wasn't trying to be insulting or anything. Even without taking biology it should be evident that different species cannot interbreed, though. If I came across as insulting, I apologize.

Then how do you explain Asari and other species?

Fair points on all counts. It's kind of silly to be expecting realism in biology but accepting some of the other crazy s*** that exists in the Mass Effect universe. And yeah, kids seem very likely to be limited to fanfic only...

Asari create asari, not some weird half-krogan half-asari mixes.

the asari are the exception, not the rule. I think they get impregnated by "mindf*cking" you, the physically aspect is secondary.

Asari are the perfect example of waving a magic wand. Seeing as (in the game lore) physical contact isn't even required for Asari to reproduce.

Isn't that how they're made? The problem with interspecies breeding for humans is the huge variety in DNA that we have, since apparently no other species can compare on that point.

So I think it's still possible for a Shep/Tali kid to happen, it's just very, very, very unlikely.

Asari don't breed with other species.  They randomize their own genetic material with melding as a stimulus.  The offspring is 100% asari.

Asari are different in this. They have different type of reproduction.

Some type close to parthenogenesis, I guess. No need for physical contact, only merging of minds.

Wow. This has got to be the biggest thread on this board.

Just wanted to mention something I just noticed. I've played a fem Shep for all my playthroughs, and most recently I'm in a game right about to go through the O4 relay, and I just had a last minute discussion with Tali in the Engineering room. I don't know if I just plain forgot about this conversation or I somehow missed it in past playthroughs, but Tali told me she would "link suits" with me lol! Made me blush a little, but I didn't realize she might go both ways. It was kind of a loaded statement though - she could have just meant she trusts me enough to link suits if it ever came down to it for whatever reason... not necessarily sexually? Anyway, I'm sure this bit of dialogue has been discussed pretty heavily around here, but just wanted to note my surprise at it! :P

It's more about the humor of the entire situation than the biological viability. on a serious note i agree, it's another reason why the romance is great, overcoming such challanges.
