I don't see why you guys hate on Jake so much; he posts rude things sometimes, sure, but I don't think he's doing it out of spite or anything. At that link (which, yes, I clicked on, like an idiot), was disgusting, but he basically put up a big neon sign saying "DON'T CLICK WHILE OUT OF REACH OF EYE-BLEACH," so you got no one to blame but yourself.

Just my two cents, anyway.

I'll disagree here.  Large generalizations are never a good idea.  Tali is a popular character, it stands to reason that all kinds of people would like her.  Some just happen to be at opposite ends of the character spectrum.

Not to mention, people on the internet are hardly a perfect representation of who they are in real life, so trying to lump them into a category is not only difficult, but extremely naive

I post in this thread on current discussions, therefor the shape my posts take are not universal, but very liquid... Changing shape to fit any situation, though in general  I'm pretty weird :happy:

I don't understand wouldn't people just not click on any of the links Jake posts?

I don't see why everyone's so freaked about it anyway; I've been on the internet since I was seven (ten years, now), and it certainly ain't the worst thing I've seen.

I got Jake's back; he isn't even that big of a jerk; a tad crude, maybe, but I'd rather have that than the ****s constantly spouting **** like "stop being off-topic," "Ugh, this thread feels like 4-Chan," and that tripe.

People always sort other people into some categories
But you're right. You may know someone through the internet and when you meet him in real life he could be really different. More than you would like. But it's not necessary.

For future reference for anyone reading, here are some potential tips.

- Hover over the link and look at the address.  If it is meatspin, or something else that you don't want to see, move on.
- If you still haven't determined whether the link is bad, open it in a seperate tab (set browser settings to not jump to a new tab automatically.)  By this point it should be relatively clear from the description.
- If you still don't know if the link is bad, and you don't want to see anything potentially bad, ignore it.  No one is forcing you to look.  Give Jake some credit, people posting innapropriate pics here that we can't ignore, and that subsequently get quoted multiple times are a lot worse.
- If you ignore these steps, and still see the link, you brought it upon yourselves.  If you wish, engage Jake in an off topic discussion regarding your concerns.  Otherwise, just move on.
